Default Turning a no into a yes

I was so proud of myself the other night. I turned a no into a yes. Yay its never happened before so i just had to tell everyone this is how it went

Me win another girl: asked custie to have a dance with us
Custie: said no he was just here with his friend & introduces friend to us as he walks up
Me: hello, we were justabout to head off to the dance area together. Would ulike to join us as well.
    Custie: we were?
Me: takeing both their hands. Yes all four of us.
    & it worked I can't believe it

So since that worked what are some other ways to get them to say yes after they have said no?

    Haha - cute!

I can't think of any right off the bat... but I know I have a few. What I say really depends on their excuse.

For a situation like that I would normally make some comment about how they should never recommend a dancer to a friend without first hand experience with her... then suggest a dance.
    Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.
