    Question My sunburn is peeling...help

I got a nasty farmer's sunburn last weekend. I took a scolding hot shower to release the burn that day and have been using plenty of Aloe Vera and other lotions all week to avoid the peeling.

Well, here I am on Friday about to go into work and my face, ears, neck and arms are peeling. It looks gross. I can't think of any way to hide it. Any ideas ladies?

Sorry if this is a re-post but I couldn't find anything in the searches that could be a one day fix

A temporary fix might be a sugar scrub. My face is peeling (from accutane) so I take a little olive oil, mix in some sugar, and gently exfoliate all the peelies. Then I wipe off the excess oil with a hot, damp washcloth. Peelies don't come back until the next day. The olive oil really helps moisturize the dry, sunburned skin, possibly preventing future peelies.

I hope your skin isn't feeling too sensitive for this; it works really well.!

    baking soda rocks as well..
When I burn I layer on the aloe.. thick thick thick.. that usually at least stops whatever burn is still going.
Please don't lick me, it tickles..

It might sound weird, but I always use plain yogurt on sunburns. I don't let it dry & harden, I rinse it off w/cool water, pat gently dry. In FL I got a bad sunburn on my legs, which I've never had a sunburn on before, I used that, my friend at the time used used aloe. My method healed faster. I would also recommend avacado oil, sold at health stores. It has natural vitamin e in it, I use it on my hands & hair. I wouldn't use hot water, I would think that'd aggravate it more. Good luck, sunburns suk.

Thank you ladies! I have been trying to exfoliate the peelies away with St. Ive's Apricot Scrub and it worked everywhere but my arms. I'm going to try both of your methods

Worked wonderfully and my skin is uber soft (I had to use vegetable oil instead)
