Apparently I've lost about 10 pounds and didn't notice. I don't own a scale but I do weigh myself whenever I'm at a friend or family member's house who have a scale. I had been battling a plateau forever at 160 (I'm 5'9 by the way), and actually thought I had gained more before I stepped on my mom's scale. It said 154 or so. I was really surprised. Then a few days later I stepped onto my friend's scale and it said 150. I was really surprised and actually kind of worried. I didn't think I'd even been doing very well on my diet and I still couldn't tell that I'd lost the weight. (I think it happened within about a week and a half, pretty fast.) Of course I thought something was wrong with the scales, but my mom's scale is a digi and I watched my friend calibrate the scale before we weighed ourselves, and she weighed the same as she has for a couple months, but I showed a more loss. I can't SEE the difference, though, damnit!? It's confusing the hell out of me and I'm sort of worried with the dramatic weight loss.
I'm wondering if this happens sometimes when you're trying to loose so much weight? (I'm trying to get to 145.) I don't understand how I can't see the difference unless maybe the scales are just wrong (I don't see how that's possible, either), or it could be possible that I'm too deluded by my own thinking that I still think I look fat? Or should I be worried? I wish I had some before and after pics of the rapid weight loss but I don't.
My only other idea is maybe the slight difference in exercise really did make a difference in my metabolism. I suppose that's possible? Still seems pretty extreme considering I only really do light exercises.
