Default do green tea pills go bad?

I have an opened bottle from a year or so ago. I'd like to start taking them again, but do they go bad or become ineffective?
    Thanks ladies

I think that as long as they have been kept out of direct sunlight, they should be ok.

^^^I use them and like them... Green tea itself is great for weight loss, so I figure the pills work as well. They don't have extra crap in them, so with working out and eating well it is a good way for me to feel like I'm doing that extra bit to stay in shape. I also chew green tea gum, just makes me feel better, especially when I'm feeling lazy..
