I gained about 10 lbs last year and I have not been able to lose it! I don't really care what I weigh, but my tummy bulge just won't quit, and my thighs are a bit rounder than I'm used to (I always had perfect legs). I've been working out 5-6 days a week (lots of cardio, moderate weight training), and really watching what I eat. I have been doing this in earnest for 3 months and aside from my arms and calves being more toned and feeling better generally I do not see any results.
I am 27 and wonder if maybe my metabolism is just slowing down, i.e. not what it was when I was 22 and could lose weight just by eating healthy. I am seriously considering lipo, probably in Buenos Aires because my mom has been down there twice for cosmetic surgery and she's had great results. I would just want to get my tummy, thighs, and maybe hips/butt worked on to get rid of the lumpy stuff that all my exercise is not affecting.
My main concern is that, although I am currently single and pursuing my dreams of traveling and attending grad school, I know I am going to want to have kids at some point, probably in the next 3-6 years. I don't want to get all this fat sucked out and then turn around and gain it back with pregnancy. But at the same time I want to enjoy what's left of my youthful body! I am really frustrated with where all my dedication to the gym has gotten me so far.
I was just wondering if anyone else chose to get lipo before they had kids, if it made a difference, and if anyone could share their experiences with me regarding their procedure(s), results, etc.
Thanks!
