Default do you have a website for your dancer persona?

or a myspace? or a FB or anything like that? do you hand it out to customers?

what are the laws like in your state? i know that alot of clubs might frown on this, as some might see it as prostitution, but from what i've seen it might be a cool way to post your schedule, and maybe build up a customer base.

what does yours look like? what else do you have on your site? have you had particularly good/bad experiences with having a website?

i just opened up a myspace account for myself, and if a custie asks for my phone number, i always tell them to check the myspace.

In Colorado it's illegal for dancers to give out direct contact information in a club.. so no phone numbers, websites etc. It constitutes prostitution here. It's also against the club rules. Of course about 98% of the dancers I meet here have not actually taken the time to look up the laws so there's a good percentage of them that give out direct contact information. I'm not the type to take my chances though - especially since I already know it's illegal. I believe PapillionLuvr (sp?) was saying that just this week their had been a number of arrests, but I'm not sure if that is why. At any rate Colorado went a LONG time with no arrests... but I guess it had to happen again at some point.

I have a Myspace account, XPeeps account and many others. Typically customers end up finding me on Myspace.

Normally when a customer asks for my contact information I just say "Well, it's illegal for me to give you my direct contact information, but if you go into Google and type Kylea and Colorado you'll find me". That cuts down on who contacts me, so it's normally only the more serious ones who really want to see me again.

I used to have a website but took it down a few years ago because I was in a relationship and he didn't like me having it. BIG MISTAKE... I lost out on years of good regular customers because of that.

Right now I am in the midst of building a new website that should be finished this week. You can PM me if you want to look at the design. Here are websites that I looked at while I was designing mine:

Ideas for menus and what should be on the site:
    http://www.jamilla.com.au/
    http://www.felixpoledancing.com.au/
    http://www.panteraspoleworld.com/
    http://www.officiallyfawnia.com/

My computer crashed awhile back so I don't have a list of the websites that the actual look is based off of.

No, I really don't want any contact with customers OTC in any way. Im really careful about keeping my dancer persona seperate from RL.

Nope-wasnt me saying there were arrests. :p I think it was Evangylina (sp). I haven't heard of any arrests in a long time either...I wonder where it was?

I used to have a dancer persona myspace, but it was more hassle for me than anything else-guys wanted to hang out all the time, etc. a lot of time and energy. So I cancelled it. I tell them now when I am dancing they can come and see me all they want.

I've been thinking of making a MySpace page for my dancing persona, but I'm not sure what to put on it.

I used to use my MS for dancing (when I used to work alot and give a crap!). I didn't put any nude or semi nude photos on it just provacative/ sexy clothes. And make sure your user name and home page don't reveal any of your personal info, put a fake city and use a lot of generalizations. Then I have a FB for friends and family that uses my real name and tamer photos and my true self communicates with them that way. If you do go a route like this, also set up a secondary email account for the dancer page. i.e. mine is connected to a hotmail account for "Gia"

^^^ Even my personal myspace doesn't have my real name connected to it. I can't remember what happened but I found out that people had a way of harvesting the full names from myspace and connecting them to your phone number and address. I was PISSED when I found out and wrote to a few of the other websites and changed all my info even on my personal website. I don't trust any of these things with my personal information.

Would it be bright/advisable to use my second (fake) set of "real" information, like name and home town, etc? Or no?

actually, these days you need to be a bit careful about Section 2257. As long as your website doesn't include any pictures that could be construed as 'adult' in nature, you're free to post any persona you choose. However, once you start including 'adult' content, Section 2257 imposes ID requirements which involve your real name, your real age, your real address etc.

Thus if you want to post anything bordering on 'adult' content, you're far better off using a 'front' organization i.e. makeitsexy.com as opposed to a web host in order to get around Section 2257 compliance issues. In this way you can provide your real name, real age, real address to the 'front' organization (where it is kept in a relatively confidential file at the 'front' organization's place of business) as opposed to having to post / maintain Section 2257 information yourself. As I found out the hard way, using a web hosting service and listing your home address as the address of record for Section 2257 information amounts to a de-facto wilful submission to a warrantless search of your home at any time on the premise of inspecting your Section 2257 records.

    Here are my online stats:

Website: Stripper Hacks or Ask a Stripper
    Twitter: stripperhacks
    Myspace: http://myspace.com/stripperhacks

I don't give this info out to local customers only one that I know are from out of town.

What Melonie said. There are no pics of me or adult pics however it would obviously be considered adult content. My domains are private also and I don't really name names either unless with permission.

I'm sure one of us is misreading here, lol. Either you thought I meant my real info, or I'm misreading that you thought such. I'm not really sure, but just to be clear-

I meant the made-up "real" name that I would tell custies, not the one on my light bill, lol.
