    Default Soooo bloody stiff!!

    Good morning ladies, it is early morning after my 2nd night & I feel like I've been beat with a stick. I am still having a bit of a time getting my mind around the amount of $$ that I've made - triple-counted it both nights & was like "Holy $#!% I made this!"
    Woke up yesterday & didn't know what day it was, barely even knew where I was - all I knew was that I hurt. Once I was moving around a bit the stiffness got better, went to work last night & by closing time my thighs hurt so bad I had to hold onto something to stand up or sit down. This morning it was all I could do to make it to the bathroom!
    Could barely lift my bag last night, which doesn't weigh more than 10 lbs. or so, I have no idea how I will manage on the pole. My legs do NOT wanna f'ing function! & tonight they want me to come in for round 3!!

    haha don't worry, you'll get used to it! take a walk, stretch, drink some water. maybe a warm bath/shower. congrats on the $$!

    Take some tylenol before your shift until you get used to dancing. Also take some arnica tablets and use arnica gel on places that get sore like your knees if you do floorwork.

    Do some light cardio, like walking or running, and then stretch stretch stretch!! The yoga gets your blood flowing, which helps get the soreness and stiffness out, and stretching will help as well. Just keep moving! the more you are still, the worse it gets.

    It's always the worse in the morning, it gets better as the day goes on for me.

    After almost three weeks of dancing though my bruises are so damn bad I can't wear shorts during the days... or dresses... or people are going to think I'm being abused...

    the bruises on my knees were so bad after my first few days, i started wearing thigh high socks to cover them, and also it really helps to prevent them on stage.

    i always had that soreness problem at first. it goes away onve you get back onstage for a bit. then it will go away permanently once your body gets into the swing of things.

    I use this stuff by a brand called Elemental Herbs (very natural stuff) that is a combination of menthol and arnica. It's a spray, so it's easy to put it on morning and night, without the annoyance of getting your hands dirty with a gel and also without having to touch or rub the already tender bruises! I unfortunately can't find any at my local Whole Foods (it was a free sample) and have bought this other local Colorado stuff with some natural herbs and arnica in it. Will let you know how well it works...

    You may have lactic acid build-up in your muscles if your thighs are not developed so much. All of the girls gave good advice but you are going to have to take a night off! When you do, don't lay around or you won't heal. Go for a nice long walk and drink a lot of water to flush your body, you willget used to it though!

    You will hurt like hell for a few days after you first start dancing. i know the feeling, i always felt like it got hit by a Mac truck every time i went back to dancing after taking a vacation. Gotta relax, maybe get into a hot tub, or a bath with Epsom salts, and get lots of rest.
