Did you start a new birth control or anything? When I was on Implanon, I bled for months straight, but it wasn't like a full normal period. Have you made any other changes with your body that could affect it?

I haven't been on birth control in a year. i ran out and couldn't figure out how to get more from my insurance company, so i just went without it and my periods have been regular and fine till about a couple months ago because of stress. it was just late a couple times... but now it jst won't go away. its like i'm constantly spot bleeding

^^^^ I had that happen when I was really stressed. Chances are that if you can calm down your period will go away.
Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

Yeah, stress can definitely mess with your period.
Could you have been pregnant and not known, and are now miscarrying?
That happened to me this past summer: one extremely light, extremely painful period one month; abnormally heavy (in the shower, it looked just like when I miscarried before, which is what tipped me off), really long, not so painful period next month. Doctor confirmed with pregnancy test since the hormones were still strong enough.
At the same time, our bodies just do crazy sh*t sometimes (also happened to me w/in the last year). I wouldn't worry too much if it's just light spotting and goes away soon. If it gets heavy though, or same thing happens again next month, see the doctor.

Not sure if it could be similar but I had mine for about three months straight a year ago, nothing abnormally heavy or painful, just constant. In my case the doctors thought it was caused by my pill not being strong enough or not allowing me to "shed" fully each period, causing a build up. Oddly, the two other pills they tried did nothing and it stopped once I came off of hormonal birth control. They were going to do a "scraping" if it had continued.
Try to just relax and hopefully it will go away.

This happened to me for 3 months straight - i was surprised i could bleed that much! I quit birth control (Depo-Provera) one year ago, and have been working A LOT... Oh, and TONS of stress... not a miscarriage, since i was celibate during that time...
Now i get my period every 2 months or so, and only very light spotting. Weird...
Take care

Get checked out. It could be fibroids, a cyst or endometriosis. Not trying to scare you and these things aren't cancerous, but they do cause irregular bleeding.
I've been bleeding heavily since Monday and it won't stop and it came early. I happen to be on a new pill and I started them at the wrong time appaently. I also have a cyst that comes and goes.
Make sure you take iron every day. This goes for all of you that bleed more than you should.

Endometriosis is a fucking nightmare! My mom and I both suffer from it!

^^^^^Miscarriages are normally like that. u may want to make an appt. with your gyno.
When I had a miscarriage I bled kinda like the last day of your period but for like almost a month and I didn't even know that I was pregnant.
I would go get checked out just in case.
It could also be a cervical polyp.
Not to scare you either, but the same thing happened to me a few years ago only heavier. I bled for like a month. Also, have you had discomfort during certain sexual positions??? NOT pain, I mean discomfort (like something being "there"?) Like a weird feeling. Actual pain during sex can be the sign of something serious though.
I went to the gyno, had a full check up (std's and all) and all they found was a "cervical polyp", which is basically a benign (NOT cancerous) sort of tumor. It is completely harmless, but will cause you pain-in-the ass symptoms like irregular bleeding and maybbe the weird sexual discomfort.
You can have it removed. I opted out of it at the time cause we didn't have insurance, but it hasn't botherred me much since.

7 days isn't abnormal. Your body could just be changing as you age, could be stress, any number of things.
