Neutrogena's Body Clear Body Wash is good for bacne, and a lot of spas have bacne facials which help.

second the clinique. I also use a regular facial wash and a back scrubber I bought at Bath and Body Works. Luckily, I only break out on my upper middle back, where my hair rubs and where my sports bra shoulder-thing is.

For many girls it's a problem from the hair. Make sure you rinse it out really well and don't let it lay on your back when you have products (hairspray/gel/etc) in it.

Also be sure to wash off your back last thing really well.

In addition to what the girls above said, sometimes it's from the lack of being in the sun. Try sun bathing just a bit or going to the tanning salon for a small amount of time every once in awhile.

Using hair oil at work will give me cysts every time. I like the way it looks, but its not worth it. It won't break out otherwise, and my hair goes down to my waist.

stop usuing soap and and use baking soda or just exfoliate. Its possibly the chemicals in your soap that cause it. That or your shampoo and conditioner. I wash my hair over the side of the tub so I can avoid getting those on it. It really helps a lot!

I think I read in another thread (where's verfolgung when you need him?!) that head and shoulders classic clean shampoo works.

I agree with Kylea2 - sunbathing works great! Even better is after swimming in the ocean, don't immediately rinse off, THEN sunbathe for about 15 mins. No more bacne! The sea salt also softens your skin, while the sand exfoliates your feet.

    Did I mention it's FREE?!

Yeah, oil on your back will cause problems. I use hair shine products like the one made from Paul Mitchell. Just cover your back and only spray it on the top layer of your hair.

    Default Apple Cider Vinegar!

Put approx. 1 cup of the stuff in a warm bath and soak for 15 minutes or so, making sure your back is emerged in the water. Pat dry (don't rub!) and if your back is really greasy, you can use the cider vinegar as an astringent at night. Just dab some on with a cotton ball and let it dry. Yes, you'll smell a little funny, but the scent fades fast, and doesn't last. (don't worry, no one the next morning will smell it!)

I had a bad hormonal reaction to the birth control pill, and this was the only thing I found that cleared up my crazy hormonal body acne (think teen-aged boy going through puberty acne all over chest, arms, back, face... icky!) I would initially bathe every day for the first few days, then skip a few days, then once a week, and now I haven't had a breakout anywhere except the odd pimple on my face when it's that time of the month. As an added bonus, the vinegar-water is gentle on your coochie, as the acidity in the bathwater helps balance your vaginal ph, reducing yeast infections (which I'm also prone to) so yeay to that too!

    Good luck!

i hear its better to not take long hot showers, and always dry your skin very well when you get out of the shower.

I use a 10% AHA lotion on my back, chest, arms , and butt. Not everyday, only when I see/feel break outs coming on. It works great and doesn't dry me out like other acne products. Two thumbs up.

^I Use BHA and it's also good. But you have to stay away form any kind of UV rays then.
Oh and I use natural (certified) shower gels. Preferably the kind sans essential oils. Also, I change my sheets, towels and undershirts religiously and try to eat healthy.

I get bad chest/back/face breakouts when I use any sort of body wash, shampoo or conditioner with sulfate in it. Almost every popular brand has sulfate... so try natural products like burt's bees.

Well, I used to get alot of bacne, I think it was cuz of my shower routine, I did shampoo, put in conditioner, wash body, rinse out conditioner, then after thinking maybe its the conditioner not getting washed off my back enough cuz i leave it in while im scrubbing my body I started washing my body after I rinse it out and wa la lots less bacne.

Try using Cetaphil. It's really mild, so it won't dry your skin out. A lot of times, people think that their skin is greasy, when really it's dry and produces more grease to make it less dried out, and this only creates more acne.

So yeah, Cetaphil. Works for me. =D

Forgot to mention that it's available at like almost every drug store.
