Due to the economy (ugh, I HATE using that excuse, especially hearing it) girls are working more shifts, and sometimes I feel that there's too many of us on at once. I'd say 15-20 Sun-Thu, and 25-28 on Fri and Sat. We only have one shift: Sun-Thu 7pm-2am and Fri & Sat 7pm-3am.
Our club is medium-sized...upscale...full-kitchen...2 bars...bottle service...upper and lower VIP. I've just been there 4 months, so I missed the "salad days" when everybody was making big $$...I was working for an agency that had a circuit of neighborhood-type places...now the agency is no longer.
Anyway, because of the state of things, more girls are working more shifts because we're not allowed to work anywhere else. It is a very nice place to work, and they treat us well (sometimes when things are rough for all they waive or discount the house fee...we get $17 for every $20 in funny money...and you can tip out what you can to mgmt and the DJ).
I know the club has to make money as well...admission is $10 with a 2 drink minimum (cocktails are about $10)...so I think they're not putting a cap on the amount of girls 'cuz it's more $$ for them in house fees.
When my co-workers and I are waiting for the custies to come in, we've been noticing that the dancer-to-custie ratio is way off...too many girls! And it seems like every shift, some girls throw in the towel and go home. But I refuse to go, and have stuck it out every time I've worked...most times I wonder why, but I'm not a quitter.
My question to all is...
How many is too many on a shift?
