    Default adventures in brazilian wax

I am going to Hawaii in August and I want to get a brazilian wax. I have been doing research on the web and everything says it takes about four to six weeks for hair regrowth. I want to know if that is to start seeing hair regrowth or that the hair is long enough to have it waxed again. There is a big difference. I have never had a wax before. Well I do my eyebrows but that is different. I know I have to do my eyebrows every two weeks. I just dont want to go through the pain and money for it to last a week and then have to start shaving while I am on vacation. The whole point to the wax is so I dont have to shave. It is going to be my honeymoon so I dont want to be worrying about shaving and bumbs during the steamiest week of my summer.

It will start to regrow almost immediately. Before our yearly beach vacay I wax but take a razor because I ALWAYS have a few fine blonde hairs that start to regrow within a few days. The darker course hair seems to stay gone for 2-3 weeks though, so I do recommend it.

I was only brave enough to have thos done once. It was very smooth but I worry about how hard they tug on they skin, that I wouldn't do it often. I have a little kid's "innie" cooter and was worried it would get all stretched out.

My hair didn't grow back for about 2-3 weeks but I have very course body hair and don't know what you have but princess jas is right, bring a razor as backup. It's better to have and not need than vice versa.

Or the day before if you have time. But two sounds good to me, again I'm no expert/.

Be sure to pop 2 Tylenol an hour before you get waxed & focus on your honeymoon!
There are SO many great salons & spas in Hawaii, just in case!

    Congratulations!

I used to get brazilians done before I got laser hair removal.

The first time I had it done, I bled a little bit. Also was swollen for a day from the force of the hair being pulled out and the sheer amount of hair. So take minalynx's adive about Tylenol or I used Advil-avoid Aspirin though. Increases your bleeding cause it's a blood thinner.

Take a razor or tweezers to get the stray hairs that will grow in. However, the majority of the hair will be gone for 2-3 weeks. When it starts to grow in it will itch and be very prickly.

Also, there is the possiblity of ingrown hairs, so use Tendskin, an exfoliator, Tea Tree oil, or just plain old deodorant to help minimize the risk.

Best of Luck and Enjoy your honeymoon!!
