    Default pole at home???

i love LOVE pole dancing. i want to get one for my house. there are a few out that ive looked at(x-pole and lil mynx). i dont want a pole that comes in pieces (very scary!). i was wondering whats the best one out there that can take a good beating and wont return the abuse?

Check out Platinum Stages! I have the multi-piece super pole and LOVE it! They also have a one piece version available. I can change the pole from static to spinning mode by either removing or inserting a little locking pin, it's awesome! The multi-piece only comes in stainless steel but if you got a single piece pole I think they come in brass which is what most clubs use (it's stickier and easier to do tricks on). Their poles come in either permanent or completely removeable versions that rely on friction to stay in place. I have the friction one and I can still go upside down and do all types of moves without having to worry about it falling down.

she just said she didn't want a multi-piece pole.

Since it's going to be in your house for a while (right?), you could specially order a pole that is cut exactly to fit your ceiling. I've had platinum stages and X-pole and they're pretty much exactly the same. The only thing is they're both made of stainless steel which is VERY slippery. I think the gold X-pole is supposed to be more grippy. There's also lil minx that comes in powder coated so it's really grippy... BUT you're a very advanced pole dancer so I'm sure you'd be fine with the basic Platinum stages or X-pole. They can either be set on spinning or static, and the multi-piece ones are actually very safe- you cant even tell they're not all one piece.

*Jade*love mentioned that they also have them in one pieces. My best friend has the Lil Mynx, i wouldn't recomend it if you want to do tricks and way more than 100 lbs. I personally can't wait.... The BF already ok'ed me putting a pole in our house (when we get it).

I have a lil mynx pole-it works well for me. The only problem I have had with it is pitting, but I think that may be because I didn't clean it right when I first got it.

The pole I had was made out of that gold finished railing you would find on a boat. It was really cheap (like $12 plus the attachments <$30) . It's a little thinner than your standard strip club pole but made me even better because it was a little trickier. just don't let your gf's see it or they will never leave!

homemade poles would be ok if i wasnt so damned picky. i do want a spinning pole. my weight is 135 and id be throwing my weight around so it sounds like lil mynx is out of the question. the pole that come in pieces... they are ok for that? just a concern really.

I have a lil mynx. I loved it. Till I realized it wasnt screwed into the ceiling beam. Me and the pole went flying into the corner of the wall Kinda screwed up my back, I passed out. But it was nothing a little more alcohol couldnt fix. Now maintenance is coming in to put it up for my correctly. And going to check it before I get on it to play each time, especially after the guys play on it.

I want one too!! I actually was looking at the Carmen Electra Pole, & the reviews on it's website say pretty decent things about it. Plus its not too expensive.

I dunno.....Also I've been looking on Ebay, they have poles for sale, different colors, different sizes...etc...OOOOO & I found a website where people build their own stages for their poles, with lights around the the flooring...just like a mini strip club setup, I want my hub to build me one sooooooo bad!!!!

My boyfriend suggested I make a home made pole. How did yours attach it with the screws?

I have a lil. minx and I love it. I do upside down tricks on it and it hides in the closet when not in use ( only takes 1-2 minutes to take it out ) . I've probably been on it a total of 100 hours or so ( a couple hours a week for the last year ) . I haven't had problems with it. It was $340 though ....... I'm pretty jealous that some of you have poles for $30-$40 - that's awesome .

Honestly, X-Pole and PS are both good, although I prefer the titanium X-Pole because it's MUCH grippier.

The fact that they come in pieces is not a safety issue AT ALL. Putting them up/taking them down is very simple, logical, and safe. Oh, and they both hold tons of weight and have the spin option.

Honestly, you're not going to find a decent, stable pole for less than 150. You can buy the crappy peekaboo pole, but it's not stable, really slippery, and you can only spin in one direction, plus it dislodges a lot if you throw your weight around. I used it to learn some tricks, but man do I wish I'd had a good pole. I would have learned certain tricks so much faster.

Seriously, just save up for a PS or Xpole. It's the most bang for your buck because these poles WORK, are GOOD QUALITY, and take way more of a beating that crappy cheap poles.

Me too! I've written them twice and gotten no response. I know other top names who have written them and not gotten a response. I don't know what is taking them so long! There was an update on the site yesterday.

I'm going to order an r-pole when it comes out. If I like it I'll probably sell my Lil Mynx which has been sitting in the garage since I moved because my ceilings are too short to put it in.

I just wanted to give an update on my Lil Mynx pole issue. I wrote them an email and I actually had a real live person call me back. He was great. I told him what happened to my pole. He said I probably didnt put the bit in far enough, which added pressure to my screw, which made it break and me flying into the wall. He sent me the next day a whole new kit to put my pole back up, when I only needed the screw. Which I think is awesome because having extra things for the bottom of my pole is great! So I think with the customer service, I LOOOOVE my pole!!
