    Default Should I Feel Bad?

2 new girls, friends, started at my regular club today. One was blonde extremely cute college coed looking with a great body. Before she even did anything, still walking around learning the club, someone stopped her for a private dance. Her stages were packed.

Her friend...I saw 2 of her stages and no one came. Later one of the regular dancers told me she left because no one went to her stage all day. She was significantly overweight, short, and unattractive both in face and body. In short, not stripper material at all.

Should I feel bad that she went home knowing no one (including me) wanted to give her a dollar? I tend to see it another way...that if I got up there and took my clothes off, no one would come near me, either. She's just not attractive. Is it good that she learns that the hard way, or bad?

Maybe her friend will make a lotta money and the other one will tone up or lose weight and join her. Maybe she'll do something else. You could feel bad if you wanted to but it's a tough industry so no one else will feel bad for her.

You think of times in your life when you had hopes that were later dashed, or when you were rejected, or supremely disappointed. You imagine her having feelings like these. This is empathy.

You should feel whatever you feel...It's best to look at it that way. But whether you feel bad or good or neutral right now won't change anything, so choose good, insofar as you have a choice.

Should you feel bad? I don't think so. I mean if you do, it just means that you're a decent guy and don't like to see people upset, but honestly, you didn't make her get up on stage and strip. She'll figure her way through it, but I don't see any reason for it to bring you down.

to be honest, when im in that situation (the customer's side of it) i do feel bad if a girl doesnt even get a dollar on stage. regardless of how physically unnatractive she is. and yes, i do give her a tip. as for if you should feel bad, that is up to you. i do tend to let little things and injustices bother me and possibly ruin my mood and i do wish that i could change that part of my personality.

Hard lesson but a good lesson. Dancers don't feel sorry for customers.

A long time ago when I used to frequent a local (USA) club. I always felt sorry for the women who would go up on stage and get ignored. But I was in college, so I had to save my dollars for my "friends".

It always happened to the chubby girls. Sometimes the rotation was especially cruel, two fat chicks following two skinny chicks. To see perverts row empty like there was a fire, would usually make me say to my partner in crime, damn this is a rough job.

It's brutal. But if you get naked as your job, you should work out, eat right, and take care of your body...
It is sad, and she will either quit or get in shape, but there's nothing you can do about it now.
It's sweet that you feel for her, maybe next time give the girl a dollar to be polite.

...why do you have to say negative, anti-stripper shit like that all the time, even when it has nothing to do with the thread?

Anyways, back to the OP: It's unfortunate, but that's the way the stripping industry works. You have to be attractive to make it. You don't have to be a 10, but you're not going to do well if you're overweight and frumpy with no personality or confidence. In some ways, it's good that she's realizing this. On the other hand, a lot of the time I see the girls who don't make it stripping (because they're unattractive) come away with a very negative opinion of strippers and strip clubs in general. Sour grapes, maybe.

It's okay to feel bad. It's always uncomfortable watching someone else fail at something so publicly.

Let me rephrase that; Hard lesson but a good lesson. Dancers don't feel sorry for customers.

It does have to do with the thread. Just like in baseball there is no crying in strip clubs.

This was a high contact club, and putting this thread together with my other one (long term effects of high contact), I realize there is another way to look at it: I should feel the opposite of bad for her, I should feel good for her that she is too unattractive to be able to subject herself to years of high-contact strip club work.

If she insist on making money in the sex industry she will do other things where looks are not so important. If you over think this you will become Emo and never leave your room.

Fact is unattractive girls shouldn't strip. I don't think tipping her out of sympathy or politeness would make her feel better. Like Gia and Christy said, she should look after her health, lose weight and tone up and (if her face isn't altogether unattractive) try again. The situation is not so pathetic.

Ideally all women should take care of their looks (and personality). Ultimately it's nobody else's fault if they get overlooked, especially if they are silly enough to strip in clubs; though nobody likes seeing an unattractive girl get passed over like that in SCs or out.

Some men like and even prefer chubby girls, but obviously nobody in that club on that girl's first night.

Perhaps she just gave it a try because her friend was doing it and didn't really have high hopes to begin with.

    Oh Please.

If you feel so damn bad for the women who choose to work there of their own free will, keep your damn ass out of the high contact club you hypocrite.

That's no consolation for being unattractive. She could be attractive and do low-contact stripping, or not strip at all.

Well, there is no sorrow that Jack Daniel cannot cure. All she needs is some Jack Daniel and she will be fine.

In this life you cannot worry about what could have happened or what you could have done. We all learn to deal with the broken temple of dreams we so fondly buid.

It's a hard industry. Sorry, but overweight and homely women shouldn't be dancers. It's a looks driven industry. It's always been that way and should be that way. At one club one of the managers would hire anything. The other dancers would get upset knowing a homely, fat (and these women were fat) would be working with us. These women started scaring away customers and dancers. Most of these women also became extras girls because that was the only way they could make money.

Sounds cruel, but it's better she learns right away she's not stripper material yet. Maybe she would be if she got in shape, maybe she'd never be. I'm not saying dancers have to be barbies (I never was), but they need to be better looking than the average girl.

I don't do lap dances in fact in Newark lap dances areas are against the law. Not to worry a good time can still be had in the clubs. I no longer get frisked at many and will vouch for you.

I do not think I will like lap dances either. But fun can be had without the lap dances as you stated and I agree.

I heard east coast has lots of strip clubs. I recall when I was in New York, I used to see them everywhere while driving.

No matter what I say it will cause turmoil. Just remember it was the Pimp not the PL that made it so.

I'd agree with most in this thread. The sex industry, similar to the modeling industry (though one might argue that they are one and the same), reserves the right to be brutally honest. It's capitalism at work, baby. Best product for the best price. Shrugs. Cruel, but no one made her get up on stage.

If I was sitting in the tiprail, I would have felt bad for not tipping, as I would give every girls at least a dollar. I would never go up to the rail and tip a girl if she was unattractive, I don't care how shitty her night was going. There is a difference when dancers are "not your type" vs fat and ugly as hell. I hate to see fuglies getting tipped better than I do, so I wish more custies ignored the fuglies. It seems the fuglies are getting rewarded for their fugliness at my club.
