Default Best way to learn about dancing?

    Hi everyone,

I may be giving dancing a try in the near future and wanted to learn about the industry and the workings of a particular club. I was thinking the best way would be to try and find a dancer working at the club and pick her brain. Is this the appropriate way to get the info I am looking for? You could say I need to make sure I am cut out for nude dancing and can handle the environment. Also, what is the best way to contact a dancer? I have patroned many clubs in my life (and yes I am always a good tipper!) but prefer to speak to someone outside the club.

    Any help is appreciated.

So girls in clubs may not be to eager to give up info, some tend to be a bit guarded about giving up their secrets. But that does not mean it's impossible. Go to a club and break the ice by getting a lap dance and tipping, that usually helps.

You can find just about anything you need to know by searching this forum. There are a lot of great threads in here, use the search function and you'll find anything and everything.

    Yeah...either:

    1) Find a dancer at a club who seems willing to discuss her job, and tip her well as you question her (as time is money)
    or
    2) Use the fabulous resource of StripperWeb (via search function) to find alllll you could possibly need to know about stripping.

I've been dancing for 5 years and still learn new stuff everyday just from this site.

When I did my first dance, It was like the sexy sprinkler....lmao, but I just watched girls and learned new things then started doing my own thing. I think observing is a great way to learn.

Hustling is more important than dancing. Sometimes I told people my job was a hustler, and left dancing out of it.

There is a learning curve associated with being a successful dancer. It took me four, almost five years of trial and error to REALLY figure out why the same girls were in VIP every night and I hoped for "luck."

Going to a club and picking a dancer's brain...that's fine, but be respectful of her time. I do this when I am checking out a club before I work there. And I always tip the girl 20-40 for her time that she could be out selling dances.

Thanks everyone for your great advice, I do appreciate it. I am just thinking ahead and preparing to enter the world of dancing until I finish school. The economy has not recovered yet and dancing provides the most return in the shortest amount of time.

That's what I do too. I ask the dancer things like how she likes management, if the girls get along, what the average nightly earnings are. However, I also talk to the manager to get an idea of what the average earnings are because sometimes they have a better idea based on dances sold.

Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

Yeah, I am sort of in the same situation as you. I'm going to go visit clubs that I want to check out & make chit chat here & there with staff/dancers/anyone really....Plus you can get an idea of what they want their dancers to look like too. And you can get a feel if they are friendly or not....alot can be picked up on without actually picking one girl and 'picking her brain'.....Then if you feel your not a good fit for that club, move on to the next. I'm actually making a list of my top 5 or so that I want to visit, & if I fit into one good, I will ask to audition & get the ball rollin there. Hope any of this made sense...Let us know......
