Has anyone tried the little Zeno device, or know anyone who has? It's supposed to treat pimples quickly, but at $100-$150, it's pretty pricey. Anyone know if it's worth it?
Having never heard of it before looking at it just now...
I'm going to say it's crap.
Possibly even qualifying as complete and utter crap that should never even be marketed in the same sentence as "acne" or "treatment".
Oh look. Well... at least they're being upfront about the crappiness aspect FAQ
"Zeno is for people with mild to moderate inflammatory acne, also called pimples, blemishes, zits and spots. It does not work on blackheads, whiteheads and the severe form of acne called cystic acne."
...uh huh.
So as long as you weren't going to use it on any blackheads, whiteheads and cystic acne, (whatever the fuck that leaves??) - then yeah. This is the product for you!
But just quietly, that whole site was just worded way too much like a slick scam for me to place ANY sort of faith in it at all.
i got a zeno cause it was on clearance for $20 at wal*mart... i tried it out. it didn't do anything for me but my boyfriend uses it on the random pimples he gets and it seems to work for him. he gets these painful under-the-skin pimples from his work (he's a mechanic so he's contstantly sweaty and dirty). zeno doesn't make them dissapear magically but the pimples he zenos seem to go away quicker than the ones that don't get the treatment.
Here is a search link to 5 past threads discussing Zeno. Perhaps they may have some additional feedback you may find of interest. ...

If you can't win. Make the fellow in front of you break the record.

OMG! YES YES YES!
My husband got this for me and I was skeptical. I was pissed off that he spent a lot of money on something that looked like a scam, and how the replacement cartridges was just a way of getting the consumer to spend even more money....
but then I tried it.
I had a face-full of acne. Having had messed up hormones from BC pill and trying to fix that, I had tried everything from prescriptions to over the counter creams and acne 'systems' to no avail. After a couple of weeks of thinking about whether or not to return it, I decided to give the Zeno a good two week try since I really had nothing to lose.
It takes 2 and a half minutes per pimple, and since I had a face full of acne, I knew it was going to be a long night. My husband and I sat down to watch some movies and I grabbed a mirror, fresh batteries and the zeno, and away I went.
After 1 day, I didn't notice any difference. After day 3 I noticed that some of my pimples were looking less puffy and more pink (as opposed to red), and by the end of the week, they were actually going away. By the end of two weeks I could barely believe my eyes! Incredible!
Now, my skin is clear, and when PMS hits and I get the odd pimple or two, I zap it with the Zeno and in about 4 hours it's gone. It would be unbelievable if I hadn't experienced it myself. I wish this had been invented when I was going through puberty, I could have prevented the acne scarring I have.
I highly recommend the zeno to anyone with acne. If it's a fairly major pimple, then 4 hours after the first treatment, hit it again. Only in the beginning did I have pimples that took 3 treatments. Now, I only ever have to use it once.
I'm sorry if I sound like an informercial, I'm just so happy with this device, it has changed my skin, my confidence and my life. Give it a good shot, not just use it once and then say it doesn't work... really give it a trial of 2 weeks or so. It's amazing!

If you want something that is not that expensive and works wonders in one to two days, go to whole foods or wild oats and get some wild oil of oregano.
Anyone who has acne problems should try this stuff. Even cystic acne will be gone in two days if applied two to three times a day.
This is the only thing I have had to use in two years. I will never use anything else.
It is about $20-25 for a bottle with the dropper. And you don't need to wash your face with anything else, regular soap. Cheap and extremely effective.
It will sting and be red but it goes away in about 30 minutes.
Just put a nice amount on a q tip and apply to blemish/es.
