    Default looking for SKINNY?

OK ladies I'm here to share something I think is awesome. Six friends have used it, two cousins, and my mom and I. We all had great results. You can find a lot of pro and con debate on this on the internet but since we're all grown ups I just wanted to share. be sure to do your own research and be smart about your ownself The following really is just a nutshell; be sure to check it out for more complete info.

I've been using Releana for weight loss. I have lost just over a pound a day with no side effects. According to the research and the friends who have done it, it is permanent unless you go off the deep end with your diet. Releana is the HCG hormone--yes, the same one in pregnancy. I take it twice a day unde my tongue. Literally the pounds melt off. The real reward is that only fat is lost, no muscle or bone. I can see this as my doctor dunks me in a pool of water and does my complete BMI including where I store my fat--mostly in my arms(weird)--and it shows the changes in fat mass.

The drawback is I am only eating 500 calories a day. The state of stravation is nessary for the fat burn. Yes, I would lose weight only eating 500 calories a day anyway but with the Releana I am much, much, much less hungry and I lose ONLY fat. Really. Now this is not just any old 500 calories. It is 3.5 oz of super lean meat and 3.5 of lettuce, tomato or cucumber twice a day. You can have black coffee or tea or diet soda 24oz daily. that's it. No fat, no sugar, no starch.

    Plan looks like this:
Day 1 & 2: take releana and eat as much as you want all day long of anything.

Day 3: begin diet and continue releana. If you have been eating a lot sugar/fat/caffine you will go into serious withdrawal this week. Plan for it as best you can. Also, the first two weeks I got horrible muscle cramps when I danced. I mean, abs, calves, arms, feet, you name it.

Continue with the releana and diet until you reach your goal weight. Then keep taking it for 3 days as you gradually begin adding back in healthy fats. No sugar or starch for the next 3 weeks though. Stop the releana and continue the no sugar or starch diet for a full 3 weeks.

Three weeks later enjoy being skinnier, healthier, and a reset metabolism!

Honestly, I am amazed with the results. The diet sucks. The first two weeks are really rough but then it gets better and is less of a an issue. I did daydream about food though. Anytime I felt the urge to cheat I put on my sexiest undies and heels. I never cheated!

Also it can be super pricy. I went through my doctor for the begining then found it online much cheaper. $100 vs $350! If you buy it online you are buying powder you mix with water and then use a tiny needle to inject into muscle.

I found this website to be legit and priced well:

through doctors you can get the oral dose. Both have to be kept cold in the fridge.

Almost all of my weight came off my abs. I lost a bit of thigh and arm and my neck slimmed out but my tummy is super tight and carved out now. I feel tons better too but that may be the super clean diet. My skin started looking airbrushed perfect too; I hope that sticks around.

I think it rocks and it did me a lot of good. If you need some help this might be the answer for you too.

This sounds like the Dr Bernstein's diet, sort of. I know on that one they tell you to take potassium supplements to avoid muscle cramps.

Anyone who eats 500 calories a day or less, will def. lose weight without taking any diet aids, fat is the first, that the body will use up as fuel, but after it will start using the muscle mass. If one is not careful he or she will start looking like someone with an eating disorder.

I am super interested in this….but injecting myself with a needle? Oh my god and wtf? I’m the type of person who passes out when they have to get blood drawn. Besides that, this sounds really amazing! I just wish there was another way to do it. Do you have to be overweight to get it from a doctor?

Agreed...but I've heard that your body actually eats muscle first, since it's richer in energy. Regardless, this plan sounds completely unhealthy. Your body has a base necessity of calories it needs to merely function every day (and that's if you're just lying in bed)...and 500 wouldn't even cover that. So of course anyone would lose weight with or without the drug.

I guess I can appreciate that you want to share information, but it sounds ill-advised. Yikes.

The needle is 2cm long. I never felt it. You can, however, also buy it in oral form. If you want to go through a doctor lots of med spas offer it. A general search for HCG or Releana in your area will help you there.

I've actually been dying to try this for over a year now.

It's true--anyone who restricts to 500cals/day will lose weight.

However, the hcg diet claims to unlock stores of fat *not* muscle in the same way breastfeeding does post pregnancy. It is supposed to eliminate hunger by metabolizing energy from fat cells (eliminating fatigue and muscle loss) and maximizing weight loss. I have no idea if it's true but I wouldn't mind trying it out when I have the cash. You don't have to take injections--there is a sublingual form available as well.

Apparently, this protocol has been around for 40 years or so:

OK I’m going to order my kit tomorrow. Do the “When Health Matters” kits come with instructions? How long do they take to get to your house? I decided not to be a baby and just inject it. I will let you girls know how it goes!

Personally, I won't be trying this. I don't know of any doctor in their right might that would recommend a diet where a person only eats 500 calories a day.

    I have to agree.

This really does just sound like any other fad diet where you practically starve yourself, lose heaps of weight, and then as you return to a normal diet gain it back and then some.

I'm glad you had success in losing weight, but you should put your health first. 500 calories a day simply isn't enough. Be careful that you don't gain a ton of weight back from messing with your metabolism.

^^^ "messing around with your metabolism" is exactly the problem! Lifestyle change is the key...

This is essentially a fad diet in every sense of the word. The only thing effective in the HCG plan (proven by numerous studies) is the 500 calorie diet they put you on. Of course you're going to lose weight, you're only eating 500 calories.

Umm...so what? It took me 2.5 months to lose 50lbs after I had my twins. I lost less than half an inch from my boobs, never felt hungry, and have kept it off for over 4 yrs now. My cousin lost 125lbs in 6 months and kept it off for 9 yrs and 2 kids. We lost no muscle tissue or bone, just fat.

My goal was help other dancers that may be struggling or need to lose in hurry. I doubt anyone on here would need to be on it more than a month or so. Yes, it is extremely low calorie and not a long term solution. But 4 yrs later I eat 1600 calories a day, excercise for an hour a day, and spend all weekend splurging and I have zero effort to stay at my current weight.

Its been used since the 50's and people have all kinds of things to say about it. It worked for me and several people I know. I wanted to help anyone else I could because it sucks feeling jiggly while dancing.

I'm still in the gorge phase so it hasn't done anything for me yet, but for what it's worth, the needle doesn't hurt at all.

Actually, that is backwards-- biologically speaking the body uses up muscle mass FIRST before fat burn happens. When the body is in starvation mode, fat metabolism drops to near zero.

In a manner of speaking, the muscles starve first. The lack of glucose available in the blood to support muscle and tissue health disappears during these starvation diets and is preserved by the body for brain and nerve function. This in turn cause muscle and organ atrophy (shrinkage). Fat tissue needs very little in the way of calories/energy to survive compared to nerves and muscle, therefore it is the last to experience shrinkage in a starvation diet.

Any starvation diet (less than 1200 calories a day) will spur weight loss, but the long term damage can be devastating. Brain damage resulting in mental illness not the least of can be the result of starvation diets.

The very best way to lose fat is to just eat healthy amounts of fresh foods, avoid restaurants and packaged meals and to get lots of exercise. There really aren't any short cuts that don't also have a huge cost on long term health.

uh, limiting your caloric intake to a specific level 5 days per week and exercising 7 hours a week is 'effort to stay at your current weight'.

anyway, the 500 cals/day is the effective ingredient in your crash diet suggestion, not the hcg (it is not really clear what it does beyond making people feel somewhat more relaxed about being on a crash diet).

    http://theslantedpenguin.blogspot.co...th-behind.html

the relevant excerpt from that link:

The ONLY scientifically measurable difference between groups receiving HCG and groups receiving placebo is described in the study as follows:

"Compared to placebo treated subjects, volunteers managed with an oral administration of HCG coped more efficiently with daily irritating situations, were in a better mood, and handled home conflicts without stepping up family discussions."

i'd rather go ketogenic (protein for several weeks straight) if i had to lose 10 lbs in a month or whatever. it is pretty much the safest 'crash diet' type option.
