    Dizzy Working in local clubs?

I'm thinking about trying out the SC out on the county line. I've heard alot of bad things about the entire chain of these clubs, but I've also heard that business is getting better there. I'm figuring- hey, even if it's not too good, it gives me some where to start and get some actual club experience, right? But then the thought crossed my mind that half the club's patronage is from my county where almost everyone knows everyone, even passively, and I've met VERY few people who hadn't at least heard my name before (I'm very wellknown for the way I stick out like a sore thumb in this area).

So I'm wondering, how do you handle working in a rural area club?

Should I still use a false "real" name, etc in the club, despite the fact that several customers will be local boys who know me? Maybe go with a real but far less known nickname? In my mind, it would still be false enough to throw off out-of-towners, but not be confusing to the people I actually know. What do you guys think?

If you work in a restaraunt, you wear skid resistant shoes and a uniform.
If you work in a strip club, you wear 7" stilettos and lycra g-strings.

Always use a stage name, as a safety net. It's better to be safe than sorry and hopefully the guys that already know you won't cause problems.

I'd be very careful working in your local area. Trust me, I've known dancers who worked near their house and it caused many problems. I always worked around a half hour away. That lessens the likelihood of seeing someone who knows you.

Well, I'd obviously use a stage name. I just mean, when a guy asks what my "real name" is.

As for working away- the club I'm talking about is about a half hour away, but it's the only one in this area, so people from both counties it's between go there. I'm not worried about people I know recognizing me or anything, because I'm already an "outcast" here and dancing there is just something that people would roll their eyes and say "sounds like her" about.

If everyone knows you already....why do you need to have a backup "real" name?

Hey Naida, I started out at a club that was one of two strip clubs in the county I grew up in and live in now. I liked the low key atmosphere and it was a total dive so I assumed it wasn't popular with the local boys. I could not have been more wrong lol. It wasn't a bad experience or even awkward. A lot of the locals went to my high school but I didn't always remember them nor did they remember me. I always used my stage name if I did come across someone who really knew me they never told other patrons my real name. I also never gave out my last name to the guys that wanted to figure out what classes we had been in together lol.

The guys that know you should play along with your name of choice it's part of the fantasy. Working in a small town it took all of 5 minutes for everyone to know I was stripping (I didn't keep it a secret) but that didn't mean that every random guy I ever met came into see me.

I found one drawback working so close to home; If a guy looked familiar or stared at me funny at the mall or supermarket I was constantly wondering if he had been at my club.

I started stripping 3,000 miles away from my hometown and in my first year ran into two people who graduated from my high school (older than me, but nonetheless)

I went home for the month of june and worked with the lovely Marilynxoxo which is 17 miles from where I grew up and ran into no one from my past.

^^ I never left the Philadelphia area and I still never ran into anyone I knew at D's. I think it's because guys assume it is super expensive. They are the same guys that will bitch about girls hitting them up for dollars every 10 seconds as they do their dollar laps at other clubs (a no-no at D's). It was weird but I went to Club Risque on Columbus Blvd once to check it out and I immediately ran into 3 guys I knew lol.
