    Duh Who do I tip-out??

I'm sure there are posts similar on here, but I suck at searching for them, the results didn't look like what I ran the search for....anyhow....

Ok, so I remember a few years ago when I danced, at the end of my shift, I tipped the Dj, the dude that walked me to my car, i can't remember what else...

So is it still similar now?? At a typical club, who gets tip out & how much?
Why are some clubs such high house fees and others are low?

I'm searching for a club but the above factors are making me confused about what I need to ask upfront.

Also, do many clubs let you girls come in before the club opens to practice on the pole or do you think it'd sound ok if I asked them that? I would love to go while no business is there & just practice....

Thx for any input, thoughts, opinions.........
    XoXo

It really depends on the club. Some clubs you only tip the DJ, some you tip the DJ and manager, some you tip the DJ, manager, bouncers on certain occasion... etc. House fees vary greatly from club to club as well. The answer to how much is how fee is "somewhere between 0 and 100 dollars" Normal house fee in my area for dayshift is 0-20 bucks and normal nightshift house fee at most clubs is 20-50. That's not including tip-outs. Most clubs I know of require a 10% minimum to the DJ.

As far as going to a club to use the pole without being hired there first, I don't know of a single club that would let a girl do that. Now, if you -do- get hired and want to work dayshift... plenty of clubs will let you go on stage and practice right before they open or in "down time" if there are no customers. When I first started I used to go on stage 30 minutes before the club opened and just mess around on the pole with other girls. Most managers will be ok with you showing up a little early (so long as they're already there anyway). In fact, plenty of them would be thrilled if you were "on the floor" and ready when the doors opened.

Club house fees $20-$75. At a club with a higher house fee you will definitely be making more money USUALLY so don't use house fee amount as a criteria for choosing a club. Talk to the bartender and the floor hosts: who has an open tab or has been spending a lot of money? If a bartender or floor hosts gives you a good lead and you make money ALWAYS tip them at the end of the night- that way next time they will go to you first when they see a big spender. Only reason to tip a manager is if he takes care of a situation/problem for you. You’re an Independent Contractor. Tip the valet parking guy if he parks your car and always has it ready for you at the front. Tip the DJ if he’s good DJ, for example, it’s your turn to dance however your tied up with a customer/busy. He understands & not an asshole about it announcing your name 5 times for you to come to the stage. For you not to dance on the stage it’s usually $20 fee. I don't see a problem of you asking to practice on the pole. Go for it...what do you have to lose? Other than a "No"...

I hope this helps. Take care Girly!

Thanks everybody for all your knowledge. As a new dancer, I just didn't wanna get mixed up with a club that I end up paying all sorts of ppl, & I walk out with shit.

Well, I have an audition tommarrow so I'm going to get all their basic payout info.

    Thanks again all

Like everyone said it depends on the club, but you will never have anything bad result from tipping someone you were not required to. How much you tip varies, at the the nude clubs I've worked at here you are EXPECTED (you may tip above that and many girls do) to tip $1-2 per dance, though some clubs have that rule in regards to the DJ and a set fee for security (and a lot of the clubs don't expect you to tip the waitress, but if you have a drink quota DO!) It's varied at the clubs I've worked at, but the most to tip out has been:

    -manager
    -valet
    -security
    -waitresses
    -DJ

You get what you pay for. Some nights it may be frustrating to give so much of your money back in tips but you WILL make it back. Tipping out well will bring you customers (high spenders) by having the staff point them out or even reccomend you to them. Often managers will have their friends or business associates come in and sell your dances for you, or give them free dances that they pay you for themselves.

Not tipping out well wiill guarantee you lose the money you saved x10. It's not worth starting a war with anyone at your club because everyone does something to assure someone else makes money (the DJ isn't going to get as many tips, good nights, job security and bonuses if dances aren't being sold on his nights, and you aren't going to get good customers if your music sucks, your lights are fucked up, and you're being skipped in rotation at all the wrong times and put up all the right times). Not getting along with your staff will ensure less money, an unpleasant work enviroment, and possibly unemployment. I've known some angry bouncers and DJs to over exaggerate or fabricate a dancer's actions to get her fired as pay back for consistently giving shitty tips.

I tip the bouncers (5), the VIP host, the DJ and my housemom.

The bouncers get anywhere from $10-25 each
VIP host gets 20% of what I make in VIP (thats 10% from me, 10% from the guy)
    DJ on average $20-40
    Housemom $20-40

My housefee is $50-80 depending on what time I get to work.
