So the clubs in my area do not really require an audition to get "hired". The manager at the club that I frequented as a customer told me to come in today, pay my DJ fee and try it out. He warned me about the obvious (you have to be ok taking your clothes off in front of people - thanks sherlock) and offered to pair me with another dancer to learn the ropes.
My question - I have never done anything like this before and I am nervous about all the usual things (like what if I fall or kick some poor guy in the face..). I have practised as much as I can without anyone really helping me... should I just avoid doing stuff that seems risky (like touching the pole...) or should I just have at her and try to have fun?
For the verterns out there - is there one thing you wish you could have known as you were starting out that would have made your life that much easier?
Thanks in advance for your responses![]()
