    I totally understand that. A few years ago my mom came to visit me at work and see my office and stuff--I was totally stressed out because work and family aren't supposed to mix.

    I don't know where this urge to compartmentalizes comes from, but you aren't the only one who feels it.

    I chose actor because for a good 8 years I made a living off and on as a theater/film actress in San Francisco. I guess I was successful enough to quit dancing for maybe 6 months a time here and there. I then moved to LA and racked up a couple of TV and film credits and started moving to the production side of things. (Yeah, I even have imdb. credits. Woo-hoo

    2007 seemed like the year that I may have stopped dancing, as I got my first producer credit, but then the writer's strike happened.

    So, I've changed course and have been taking aerial arts classes and have focused on making dancing one of my artistic pursuits instead of just a means to some sort of end.

    And I have worked on the production end of a couple of projects this year. I have a lot of people that want to work with me, but they want to pay me with imaginary $$

    So, dancing is not such a bad thing.
