    Default gaining after a BA?

Ok, so I was talking to my older sister today and she was telling me about one of her friends (who is not a dancer, but I am posting here for a little input). She got a BA about 5 years ago and started togain weight afterward. She diets, works out like a maniac and rarely drinks. She can not lose the weight for shit and has been to the Dr. to check her thyroid, blood sugar and everything else and they are all baffled as to why she isn't losing the weight.

Made me think, pre-boobs I was always 115-125 and since the implants have NEVER been below 130, no matter what I do. My tits don't weigh 5 lbs.

At first I attributed it to drinking and eating shit but now am working my ass off and losing inches but not lbs.

My sis thinks that the body may be compensating for the larger breast size, but both of my sisters are skinny bitches and the older one has implants also (so fuck them! Lol).

Is there any truth to this? Has anyone else dealt with something similar?

Every body is different so it's hard to tell. I lost weight right after my BA then gained some because I got lazy and ate like crap. I've seen many women maintain or loose weight after surgery so who knows.

I you work out you're gonna gain muscle. Muscle weighs way more than fat any day. It's not necessarily a bad thing if you weigh more.

Oh I agree. I weigh about 140 but am wearing a size 5/6 and I need to get down to a 3/4 to go to a hot ass Miami club but it's coming off I just kinda wanted to see if anyone else had a similar experience. My sis's friend and I have both had our boobs for years so it's not something new but am curious as to wheter or not there is any correlation.

with myself and a gf of mine we got lazy with our workouts and ate really bad food, i've heard that's the norm with BAs tho. (Get a boob job and fall into a "my tits look great so i don't need to work out" rut lol.) It's weird I know. BUT if you're working out and eating right and small portions you'll be a 3/4 in no time. It just takes time and especially those last 10 pounds take FOREVER to come off

Everybody does. The only reason I didn't was because I walked every day an hour and a half around my neighborhood starting a week after I got boobs. You're not supposed to walk on a treadmill cuz of the bouncing. Cardio cardio cardio.

I really do appreciate the imput, I shoul've explained a little better, She's had her boobs for like 5 years and does work out, a LOT! and she has a very strict diet, which is why I think it's a little odd. She's litterally gone to Dr's to have her PTH and thyroid and blood sugar tested, but to no avail. her doctors literally don't have an explanation for her. Now she wants to get her boobs out and is trying to get her insurance to pay for it (they're too big and causing back probs, but that's a whole other thread) And understand, she's not significantly overweight (maybe 10-20 lbs) and is actually a BEAUTIFUL woman, but she can't seem to get below a size 10 no matter what the hell she does. It's all centered around her tummy. She doesn't drink soda or alcohol (maybe a few times a year)

If she has very large implants, they could be inhibiting the quality of her exercise routine, which would indirectly lead to weight gain.

I know that our metabolism changes with age, and consuming more calories than you burn will make you gain weight. I’ve also read that chronic stress increases the levels of the hormone cortisol in the bloodstream, which can lead to a decrease in muscle tissue and an increase in abdominal fat.

Lifestyle changes that incorporate things to relax the body and mind, thereby maintaining healthy cortisol levels, may be beneficial.

    Here's an interesting article:
