    Default 45mm vs 50mm

    i want to buy a pole but don't want to spend a lot on it i was looking at new x poles on e bay and found one for 200 free shipping good price but its a 45 mm i use to dance and am use to the standard 50mm. does the 5mm really make a difference? let me know thanks.

    First off, I'd check the credentials of the person selling that pole. They may be trying to sell a knock-off.

    Secondly, the 5mil really makes a huge difference.

    50mil
    Pros: Less bruising, easier to spin around, learning trick on this makes it easy to do tricks on either 50 or 45.
    Cons: Harder to do certain grips if you have smaller hands, tougher to learn certain tricks.

    45mil
    Pros: Easier to do certain grips, can do some tricks impossible on 50mil if your hands are small
    Cons: More bruising, learning on a 45mil can make it harder to do tricks on a 50mil (have to adjust for grip, etc).
