    Default Stripping Laws

How do I find out the laws for my state? I've googled and nothing. Maybe I'm just google illiterate?

Your club shouold have the laws posted somewehre and stated in your contract.

It is hard to find laws otherwise though. Considering ignorance is not legally an excuse for any lawbreaking, it baffles me that they dont have these laws in an accessible place (like the internet s.t. it shows up in a google seach) so we can learn them. Try going on your states government site and navigating through there. Most of these sites are like a giant maze and are a huge headache to figure out unfortunately.

what state are you in? If you ask specifically for your state tehn girls on here might be able to point you in the right direction?
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

Thanks! I haven't signed a contract yet... hopefully that will happen Saturday. I'm working in Illinois and the club is pretty high contact, so I'm hoping to figure out how far I can go within the law.

Are you worried about getting fired or getting arrested?

    Two very different fears.

Well, I know extras go on and management looks the other way. I would just be afraid of being arrested for simply doing a lapdance

I wouldn't count on this! I've never seen the laws written out for the dancers, only the club rules and sometimes they are more relaxed than the laws.

What city are you in? Maybe we could help you find them. You'll need to look in the state, county, and city laws. Or just call a lawyer and have them do the work or direct you to where you can find them.

I'm working in Sauget, IL. Do you think a lawyer would charge me to direct me in the right place?

Most lawyers won't charge for an initial consultation especially if it's short and brief.

You're probably going to discover that 'business as usual' activities in the club ... i.e. contact levels during private dances ... perhaps even 'standard' stage fare ... are technically illegal, but traditionally not ever prosecuted. Or put another way, if a dancer attempts to work 100%within the letter of the law, she will be so far out of the 'mainstream' offerings at her club that she can't earn decent money.

This is becoming increasingly problematic as the efforts of some 'dirty' dancers to boost their income levels via offering 'extras' during these hard economic times increases the likelihood of the club receiving LE attention. If and when the club is eventually busted, 'clean' dancers giving contact lap dances and 'dirty' dancers giving HJ's and BJ's will both be busted, and will both probably face an 'equally' severe charge / black mark on their permanent record.
