when you get a private dance but a song has already started? do you go to the private booth and chat? do you chat until the next song is almost on, then go in?

I know girls that will wait but I usually just go. If we start halfway through the first song I'll dance halfway through the 2nd song (or however much time they bought). I don't really care, and neither do the customers it seems, as long as they don't feel ripped off.

^^^ Feeling ripped off is a HUGE thing that guys complain about. On the other hand if you start early sometimes the club will write down that you had more dances than you actually did. I just stand in front of them and talk until the song starts.

Those are the 2 scenarios I worry about going in early. I don't want to be marked down for and extra song if I didn't do it, and I don't want him to feel ripped off if he thinks it ended it too early

I truthfully have never had a problem, but I work in a pretty laid back club.

I wait and chat with him until the next song starts. I tell him I want him to get the most for his money. Most guys appreciate this. If I know the guy and he's a regular, I may sit on his lap while waiting. Otherwise I stand in front of him, or if there is a chair/bench, Ill sit seductively and pose and look pretty while talking with him.

My club does this. I have to wait until the song starts to begin.
I usually take the time to ask a few more questions and get to know the customer better, while taking off items of clothing slowly (I do nude dances 98% of the time, usually I take my bra, shoes, and skirt if I'm wearing something underneath off). I always tells them I'm waiting for the next song to start so they can get all their moneys worth.
I start immediately, and clock into the next song. I always aim to go over time instead of under, however. I've never had any complaints, and usually get repeat dances with this method.
I sorta dance around in front of them acting sexy and flirty while telling them "lets wait on the next song so you get a full dance." I'll do something like suck on my finger then lean down and let my hair fall around their face to whisper this in their ear. It makes them feel like they are getting something extra and I always seem to get more tips and extra dances from this method. I could just stand around, but entertaining them this way seems to make them happy boys which = more money for me.

Depends on the overall conditions of the club:
If it's normal: i.e there isn't a line for a booth, you couldn't possibly dance every single song in an hour
On the main floor (not an upsell) I will start right away if it's only 15-30 seconds into the song...and then I take him all the way through til the DJ is done blabbing through the beginning of the next song.
On an upsell (like in the Original Post) where you have to physically get up from the main floor, walk over to a booth area, and the floorman counts. I tell the floorman on the way in, and like Guenevere said let the customer know that he is going to get a full song"
If it's packed and you are in demand and can't possibly get to everyone (conditions I haven't seen since March)
On the main floor: I will start midway through and tell him, "I'll give ya half of the next one so you don't have to wait any longer!!"
On an upsell: I'd still wait for a full song. You usually get paid more for an upsell so give him the extra 2 minutes.

My club is really laid back and our private dances are done in a big room full of couches. I'll just snuggle with the guy on the couch and chat for a few minutes, and then when the next song starts I'll say "are you comfortable?" and that lets them know the dance is starting now, and I'll get going.
Here's the thing that pisses me of sometimes: When you're doing multiple dances, and the DJ starts the promotions thing. He talks for 60 seconds in between songs, promoting 2-4-1 coming up, champagne rooms etc. I never know whether to keep dancing and count it as a song, or what. It seems stupid and almost rude to stop and then start again.
Normally if the guy is nice I'll keep going and not count it, and if the guy is being a gropey jerk I'll count it as a song and usually he's too busy trying to feel me up to actually notice. Our club doesn't count our dances for us, so it's our call.
