I have been using the DR for 8-9 months on stretchmarks and it is giving some really good results!
I have silver-white SMs on my boobs, hips and arse that have been there over 10 years!
I have to be honest, the first few times I used the DR I was amazed at the results and then, over time, forgot how prominent they had previously been and so started to get impatient and wonder why they weren't completely disappearing like magic; I suppose it is similar to when you are working on your body and see big changes quickly only for them to plateau out after a while.
Nevertheless, I LOVE this little device as it is absolutely the only thing that has ever had a definite impact on my SMs!
They have got less visible in that they are not so bright white against my skin, and the silvery indentations are less obvious/not as deep which I can feel if I run my fingers over them, they are not so ridged as they are being filled in.
This keeps getting gradually better and I plan to continue treatments for as long as I need to.
I also use a smaller DR on my face...I had a parched dry sundamaged patch of skin around the jowl area that cleared after the first treatment, and overall my face is smoother, firmer and less dull-looking. I was considering Botox in my forehead before this, just to prevent too much movement so I wouldn't get deeper lines, but the DR seems to have tightened the skin up and I'm so glad I found this instead.
I only use the DR every 4-6 weeks as although the skin looks as if it is recovered from the rolling on the surface in a couple of days, there are changes taking place at the level where collagen is produced for a long time afterwards.
(I prefer to do a more aggressive full-on roll then give skin plenty of recovery than use the DR 3-5 days a week gently as I have read some people do).
I always do this treatment on a day when I have nothing important to do as there is redness afterwards, and it is a bit time-consuming as I have to apply a numbing cream and wrap with clingfilm 1-2 hours before rolling; also if I am doing a larger area(arse, hips, now also scars on legs), I think it is a bit of a shock to the body and is good to rest...
Straight after rolling I wipe my skin with diluted Tea Tree, then apply Rosa Mosqueta oil, then a mix of Aloe Vera gel and Manuka honey(amazing for healing), then reapply Aloe Vera through the day to keep skin cool.
It is only really red for a day or 2, then make-up covers the rest, and the slight soreness only lasts a few hours.
LOVE IT.
Has anyone else tried it and how do you find it, particularly for stretchmarks?
