I keep getting asked if im on the stripper circuit? They then say that it is where you travel to follow Navy ships or busy event or seasons in areas...
Does anyone know dates and places that i can research or fly to?
When is the season in alaska? Can anybody help me with this and why do customers know so much about this and i have no idea?

It is an antiquated term that used to refer to the old burlesque dancer shows. There were booking agents that would book strippers into little towns up until the late 1980's and those girls were referred to as "being on a circuit" but these days those booking agents have all but disappeared. The girls on the agent's rosters would get paid for their bookings, usually about $400-500 a week plus tips and lodging.

By the time I started dancing in the late 1990's there were still a lot of clubs that paid the dancers the weekly rate but it was up to the girls to make their own bookings and they weren't required to work a 6 week tour. They referred to the traveling dancers as "road girls" and the girls were on the road most of the time. This distinguished them from the "house girls" through a different payroll system in the clubs. Generally "road girls" had to work a more grueling schedule than house girls, but the clubs also paid the road girls more generously. Most of these clubs were in the middle of the country and located near truck stops. They relied heavily on traveling salesmen and truckers for business and the guys could look for their favorite girls at different locations around the Midwest.

Today, the circuit is all but dead. Probably the closest form of the old circuit is the touring male revue shows that work at regular bars for a single night.

as paris said, there is no official circuit anymore. there is a sort of understanding of whats good when by the girls that have been stripping and traveling for a while- like ac and alaska in the summer, conventions in vegas in fall and winter, bike week, etc. unfortunately since so many girls know about it, these places aren't real gold mines anymore
These days I like to count my money. I like to wash it delicately and iron it. Sometimes I dry it with some bounty to make it all nice and cuddly. I love my money... did I say that out loud?

This is a prime example of why NOT to listen to customers about work. They don't know nearly as much as they think they do

actually when you travel from state to state to dance, say during events , conventions guys will say oh you do the curcuit. I get that term all the time when I am in another state from were I live working. Like I live in florida and I am dancing in Baltomore right now and I ve hear that term probably 20 times since Ive been here. Basically its a dancer who travels to clubs during lage conventions ,events. Some guys think if you work for the same large chain clubs in many different states, cities this is consideres doing the curcuit as well.,

Nonetheless, it is an old term that is no longer applicable to the industry today, even for girls who travel. "The circuit" isn't a circuit anymore because girls go where ever they want whenever they want based on info they have about where there is money. Guys still use it thinking they're being all cool and knowledgeable about strippers and strip clubs I notice it's mostly older guys who use the term, not realizing they're talking about a system that hasn't been used for years.
