    Default Girls,Drama,Stripping...

What are some do's & dont's to keep your beginning practice a safe one and to not get jumped on by experienced strippers?
Tips on how to stand your ground If something does arise even If you're new?

Also my club Is not listed on this site for reviews, Baby Dolls located In Nacogdoches, TX... BUUT I have visited on a Thur. night, found the place to be pretty decent (not upscale, but not complete dump), big stage w/4 poles, one girl on stage @ once, If you work there you tip out 20% and $2 lapdances.
Has anyone ever heard of lapdances being that low?
& what would be my best bet on working that huge stage?

As far as being the new girl...

Just stay out of the way. Don't set your stuff down in front of anyone's mirror (ask the other girls where you can get ready--some girls can get suuuuper bitchy about "their places"). Don't walk in like you're on crack and be like "HEY EVERYBODY! MY NAME'S ____". Just be chilled out, polite (but not pretentious) to everyone, and stay out of their way. Also, make sure you're never in the dressing room alone for long periods of time--older girls love to accuse new girls of stealing their stuff.

And also be wary of people stealing your stuff.

I've never heard of lap dances being that low.

As far as the huge stage--I'd just learn to make it smaller. Focus on one customer at a time, and use the inbetween space to strut your stuff while you walk to the next customer.

A couple times a night on busy nights my club runs a $2-dance special where all the girls have to get up and find a guy to dance for and we dance for like a third or half a song for $2. It just lasts like 10 minutes or so. It can be a good thing cuz it gets the girls up and rotating and showing off our stuff for customers who may not have noticed us before

Stand your ground by being polit but not overly friendly to the girls. Don't let them borrow your stuff or steal customers from under your nose but if they try pull them to the side and handle it calmly.

I have heard of $2 dances. I used to work at a club that did "cabaret" dances during day shift, but it's kind of a teaser to get them to buy real dances, and also help you w/ your money. 5 $2 dances a few times a day will add up at trhe end of the night! Plus, they usually give you a few $ extra. Treat is as if you were on stage, but a little more personal. Get to as many people as possible

That's another thing I was wondering, as having a fake persona for custs, should this apply for the girls also?

Also how do you keep from letting them think that you're stealing some of their $$, but If you're banking, they're probably going to think this anyway huh?

IDK If the club I plan to work @ Is like this? All I do know Is they offer $2 Dances... So I think that's all It Is lololol. But I should dance for about 10mins?

When I went to check the place out, this one girl seemed really trashy n would just like hop on someones lap and grind for maybe 1 min lol and hop off. I did not like this approach, as It seemed like she was just wanting the money and doing a daily routine...She did the same thing everytime someone wanted one...

I am planning on using a garter, & rubberband... do you think that Is the best approach?? I don't know If we have lockers or not, but what would be your advice If there are none?

Also, when I went to visit this place, the bathroom for women Is the dressing room, and It's just like one semi-big room with connected counters & long mirror with the toilets In the back... I don't seem to remember If I saw any lockers or not... I'm ganna have to go visit again lol, or jus' ask.

Have a suitcase with a lock on it for your stuff (I should follow this advice I almost never lock mine up). If you are going to have lots of 1 dollar bills you might want to use a money purse as well as the garter method. I used to keep the larger bills strapped to my ankle and carry ones in bag.

You shouldn't have drama with other girls if you are polite and just do your job. Also never talk shit about another dancer- even if other girls are don't participate.

I write down everything I make:

stage tips (each time I got up, mark what I made)

dances (mark the customers name, how many he did, how much he tipped, what type they were [table, nude, topless])

drinks (if you have to sell a certain amount, write down what you sold & customers name)

This helps for paying out and also shows you where your money is coming from (are you getting tips in dances? are you making $ on stage?) A lot of waitresses will forget to mark you for drinks, so if you go in the managers office and they're trying to charge you for drinks you sold, you can say "I sold x, y purchased it." My club does a house fee and percentages from dances, and I've been over-marked a few times so this way if they try to tell me I did 10 when I did 8 I can have some proof. It also helps you remember customers a bit better, and after you've been dancing a few weeks you can start looking at your weekly/nightly averages.

So at the end of the night when girls are in the managers office for 15 minutes haggling over "no i did 9 not 13! and i sold 6 drinks!" and going through their wallets trying to find change, I just add up my percentages from dances + house fee, count it out, count out all my tips, hand it to everyone, and walk out of the club first every night (good way to score points with your manager too!

I'm glad I do this because a girl's money was stolen and a couple weeks ago and I hadn't done many dances but had made tips. My manager was looking through everybody's shit and asked me why I had cash on me when I hadn't done any dances. I showed him my sheet showing him I had banked in tips and he left me alone, so it should work for you

My advice, be nice to everyone but don't become too close to anyone. Don't tell people personal details about your life or talk about how much you made or how broke you are... it makes you a target. You don't have to lie, just don't be open about your personal life. Don't discuss anything that might get you in trouble (I got so stoned last night...) I always think that a lot of strippers never stop working, they are always looking for someone to hustle money out of, whether it's getting it from you or getting you out of the club so they can get your customers. Girls will twist anything you say around, drink with you and then turn you into the manager, give you sob stories about how they need $ for cab fare or their electric bill. Basically, just watch your mouth every minute, because you never know who is listening or if the person you're talking to is going to turn on you.

Don't offer girls rides unless they are desperate in which case ask them for gas money (you will become the go-to-girl when anyone needs a ride otherwise).

Don't get involved in the clique at your club. You can be friendly to the girls but you will save yourself so much drama and stress, and it will keep your MUCH more motivated at work.

ALWAYS carry your money on you, don't leave it out of your sight for SECOND! That includes when you're onstage. The only time I would let my money out of my sight would be if I had a combination lock and a metal locker. I suggest having a SMALL purse or wallet.

Keep your stuff as succinct as possible, don't come with four duffel bags and a make up case. I have a SMALL suitcase with a luggage lock and a medium sized make up case (that also locks) that I keep my make up, deordoent, body spray, baby wipes etc in. Also keep your stuff well organized, it's easier to tell if something goes missing quickly that way.

Have a "dance" wallet and a "day" wallet. My "day" wallet has my ATM, credit cards, ID, etc in it. My "dance" wallet just has my extra drivers licence (always have your license, doormen will randomly ask you for it and if the cops raid the club you will need it). Basically just bring the less valuble version of anything you can to the club!

hon, the advice i have for you is to not trust anyone, keep your guard up and your head down and NEVER loan ANYTHING to anyone-ever. if a girl doesn't have something adn asks "does anyone have_?", don't look up,don't respond, just keep getting ready yourself. it sounds mean but it's the only way, and i found that out the hard way recently. lets just say i got ripped off and now i'm out a $25 pair of booty shorts. the manager said it sucks but it's my fault that i "can't help these bitches", and she's right. it's a hard lesson learned cause it goes against my nature, but to survive in this field you can't be nice or you will be taken advantage of and eaten alive.

Baby Doll's does $2 lap dance specials each hour. A standard lap dance is not $2. As far as I'm aware, that's kind of up to you to haggle out. I know that their VIPs are pretty cheap though. But hey, what can you really expect in such a rural, up-tight-Christian area?

If some one asks you specifically for something, you could always try what I do-
I mostly use some rather unappealing things by the standards of most girls in this area. No one can ask for tampons because I use a single, reusable MoonCup. No toothpaste/mints, because I use toothSOAP and all-natural mints, and apparently healthy shit like that weirds most girls out. Can't do the ride thing because some one drops me off and picks me up where ever I go.

You can't be taken for shit if you don't have shit. Minimalism is the shiznit ^_^

    ^^^^That had me thinking...

If someone needs a tampon, you shouldn't give it to them? Because I know if it were me, I would want someone to give one to me.

I know that's a stupid question, but that's my naturally nice-approval-seeking side talking...

IMO, if you have extra tampons, then, for the love of god if someone asks for one, give it to her.

however, don't turn into the go to girl for things other girls left at home. say sorry, this is my last one, and i need it... or something like that.

My new advice: don't become friends with anyone in your club.

I'm friends with mostly all of the girls at one club, and the new one I just started at I have really kept to myself and not made any friends. I don't hang out in the dressing room ever, I take half as many cig breaks as I do at the other, and I even avoid girls on the floor. I am so much more motivated to hustle CONSTANTLY and just sit and wait even if there's two customers and they're taken, or there's no customers cause I have nowhere to go. I am making so much more money, selling so many more dances, am way more popular with customers, in a much better mood at work, and when I come home I can leave the club at the club and am just HAPPIER. I fucking love it!

I have a notebook that I keep in my bag in the DR. After I do a dance-- unless I'm running to the next one-- I run back to the DR and write down the customers name, how many they did, and what the tip was. Same with stage performances. Then I add everything up at the end the night.

I'm not really trying to advocate that you should NEVER do it or anything, just that you shouldn't let it become a habit. Once or twice, maybe, if they ask you specificly and preferably away from everyone else. But in my case, you're gonna be SOL either way, cause I don't use the disgusting, chemical infested bastards.

Because you're in and out of the dressing rooms so frequently. I've heard it said that you should be in the dressing rooms as little as possible to avoid someone blaming you for 'stealing' when something goes missing.

But I mean, hey if it works- it works, right?

That's a good idea, keeping track. I have a huge dry erase board calendar in my closet, I write down how much I make each night on that day, and the totals at the end of the week, it's very useful for budgeting.

As far as the stealing thing, I DARE someone to blame me for stealing their shit. Your things should be locked up in a locker, or you tip the housemom to watch them, or else it's your own fault.

You can say that again.. not just on here but men in general. Guys are so damn lame, the only way they can halfway make up for it is by opening their wallets.
