best way IMO is to have your 'fake' persona be your real persona with your better qualities amplified and your worst ones muted. Some people might have their stripper persona be completely different than themselves, but mine is myself but more flirtatious/outgoing/fun/into old fat men with jowls. And i switch up some of my personal info for safety reasons (i.e. i say i go to a different college than i really do). If you keep your stripper persona closer to your own then its harder to get caught up in lies etc. Plus it conveys more honest business ethics, which helps customers trust you and by extension spend money on you.

That being said, as you get better at dancing you will learn to read customers and adjust your personality to cater to their preferences. For instance, for some customers i am very attentive and listen quietly while for others i am giggly and very talkative. Im still within the boundaries of my own personality, but am adapting to the particular customers fantasy.
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

Great advice, I agree big time with this btw. Even more so because I have such a bad memory. LOL. I LOVE how when you're a stripper you learn so many good qualities. It's so exciting, I want to do It so bad!! You learn how to be an actress, be super sexy, make sells to make your own money etc. My problem Is, I currently live 2hrs from the club I want to work @, and also the nearest. When I start school & move, I will only be 20 mins away, but I want to start, and start making money. Any Ideas?! complicated I know!!

When it comes to the 'logistics' ie real name, where I live, what else I do for a living I just use my best friends info (she does know this and thinks it v funny) I only use her first name though (no one has ever asked me for a surname lol) that way I wont forget it or slip up. With regards to things like hobbies, personality traits I am just honest about what I like to do in my spare time etc. Customers seem genuinely interested if I am passionate about things and like that they find out about the 'real' me.

    EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!

I've always done the exact same thing. My dance name is my middle name, ( which is a crazy one, so no one ever believes me When I talk about my day jobs, they are so neutral they could be anywhere.

Customers can smell insincerity a mile away.

i also agree with this, and having multiple personalities up your sleve
These days I like to count my money. I like to wash it delicately and iron it. Sometimes I dry it with some bounty to make it all nice and cuddly. I love my money... did I say that out loud?

I think it's true to keep it as close to reality as you can, without endangering yourself.

If you go to school, change the name if you can. Don't lie about your major unless it's really close to what you take (IE, English major to Literature). Don't give out addresses. If you want to give a real name but don't want to use yours, choose one close to it or one you will easily remember. Stephanie-Annie

I also don't outright lie about my life. I will exagerrate bits and downplay other parts according to the type of customer I am talking to.

This keeps things easy to remember but won't hurt you. Foolproof IMO.

You have to tailor it to the customer.

Best to keep it close to your real one so it doesn't come across as practiced and fake.
