    Skull BF+Gift+Pole=letdown

I have been looking in to purchasing a pole for my house, and my loving BF bought me one by surprise, really nice of him...BUT its a Electra pole
I feel really bad cause its been sitting in our storage closet for 3 days. The really screwed up thing is he got it off of eBay and it only a return for exchange. what is a girl to do the seller has nothing that I want considering I no loner dance so I don't need new stage clothes or shoes. Yet I don't want the pole, not from the reviews I have heard

I was going to purchase either an x pole from x pole us or my local adult store sell lil mynx. knowing that i'm not sure why he didn't just purchase it from the store but maybe it as the name association. who knows how a mans brain works lol.

I am sorry didn't mean any offense...he normally looks in to things but this is something he has no clue about and instead of asking I'm sure he looked at the packaging and was like Carmen Electra hmm seems good I will by her pole plus it doesn't help that they claim its a "professional" Pole on the official website so even if he did look into it he wouldn't know light from dark. My whole thing is what should I do with it now that its here? i don't want it but feel bad, I don't want to get rid of it cause i don't want some clueless housewife buying it and killing herself...I'm stuck with shitty faulty product.

Their return policy stinks. While you may be stuck with the pole, you can write them a negative review and reduce their customer confidence rating.

I did give them a less then satisfactory comment, maybe I will re gift it over to my sister in law...she wont climb it but I know she will put it up in her bedroom and feel all special. just like when I gave her lingerie for her bridal shower it was nothing special but she made a big hoot n holler over the fact that I (an ex stripper) went out and hand picked something sexy for her honeymoon 1 yr later its still has the tags on it cause its too racy. same hing with the pole she will put it up look at at it and never touch it lol

...do like my sisters did to me around Christmas time while growing up. Set it up then "accidentally" break it and tell him how wonderful a thing it was and how you are going to go get another one similar to it.

I let him talk me into putting it up when I was stoned and I did few hook spins with out killing myself, which is amazing cause it was not installed correctly at all. But it just looks cheap and for that reason I don't like it! I will Purchase an x-pole and figure out what to do with this POS later.

Re-gifting it sounds like a great idea. Or just re-sell it. It's not your fault it's a crappy pole, so don't feel guilty about the fact that someone could get hurt using it.

Also, you could buy yourself the pole you want, install it, and let your BF think it's the Carmen Electra pole. How could he ever know the difference? Most poles look pretty much the same.

its very easy to tell a good quality pole to one that is not the seems the plasti nuts and bolts, pin locks holding it in place. plus he even said it looked cheap and to get the better one that tells ya something! cause when it comes to my hobbies he doesn't know black from white.

** Pole dancing is hobby I picked up from working in a club. I enjoyed my work and am sad iIcan't retun. This is my way of keeping my dream alive. I didn't see it on a late nite infomercial and think "oh how cool i want to try this!"** ( I only say this cause I dont want a rant from someone on how I'm a dumb house wife trying to be something I'm not)

    PS.

I am really a housewife, but I danced from off and on from 18 to 21.

LMAO I'm stoned as fuck please ignore my rambles!

Sell it on Craigslist or Ebay for a bit less and put the money towards a better pole.

The guy was on e bay and the est of his shit was random like fish tanks, grow lights, barbie dolls...nothing of any use and some random "stage" outfits that looked like they where from a1984 Prince video...so the pole is in the garage, and will get sold in our next yard sale lol.

Can you put in on a stage or base to make it more sturdy?... like the Platinum Stages they sell at http://www.platinumstages.com/Platinum-Stage_c_6.html
If I bought someone a pole, it would be with a base or stage with lights (led lights or frosted panel with lights).
Does anyone have any comment about Platinum Stages or other pole stage or pole base?

I have the Electra pole too. As it isn't the best pole I admit but when it is securely put up it really isn't too bad. I want to save up for a really good spinning pole. I would just sell it like BLicious! said.
