    Question LUSH during pregnancy?

There are a ton of threads on LUSH products, but didn't see any regarding this situation ...

Have a very close friend who is about 7 months pregnant. I'd like to send her a gift, and was thinking about a gift box of LUSH bath bombs and bubble bars.

She's a lover of baths generally, so thought it might be a soothing way for her to relax a bit. Pardon my ignornance, but would this be something a pregnant woman would be able to enjoy?

    Thoughts or feedback?

I would think so, my ex worked for Lush and as far as I know the bath products don't have anything in them that would possibly be harmful to her or the baby. I think it's a very thoughtful gift!

I would ask her. Both times I was pregnant my doctor told me I wasn't allowed to take bubble baths because it increases the chances for a UTI. All doctors are different though, hers might say its ok. Its definitely an enjoyable gift!

Ugh, the dreaded UTI! Definitely don't want to cause her that. ... "Hey, heard you were having hear burn, now here's something you'll really enjoy!" *D'oh!*

Not a very easy topic to approach. Do you think LUSH makes one any more susceptible to a UTI than another bath product? If I just find out if she's taking baths now with epsom salts etc., would that be at least an indicator that she should be alright?

How about if she's used LUSH before? Would being pregnant make her more susceptible? Hrm.

I would casually ask her if she is able to enjoy a nice bubble or epsom salt bath. If so, I'd say go for it. I don't know anything about LUSH products, but judging from a glimpse of their website it seems those products would be safer to use than something from walmart. At the very least, if she can't enjoy them now, it will give her something to look forward to post-baby

Don't quote me on this but I am fairly sure that Lush products won't cause UTI's since they are all natural and preservative free. I think it's one of the chemicals in bath products that can cause them although I've been lucky enough not to get one from a bath product. I'll call my ex and ask him, he worked there for 4 years and can give me a straight answer!

Lush also has shower gel, really great skin creams, and lip balms. Why don't you send a mixture of that instead, it would be safer.

Therapy massage bar is a good moisturizer for stretch mark prone areas, and dream cream is a good cream. Vanilla delight has a subtle scent suitable for pregnant women, and you could add cuticle butter and foot lotion. There are alot of good products.

Ok I called my ex and he said the bath bombs do not cause UTI's but the bubble bars can possibly cause them because it has a lathering agent called SLS and that's what could cause them, but the bath bombs don't have it as they don't lather. If she likes sweet/candy smelling things I highly recommend Sex Bomb, that's my favorite
