    Default gowns

okay so this might be asilly question, but ive never worked at a gown club...
can you wear an evening gown at a gown club? i have a white gown with sparkles and such on it...its a formal evening gown, not a stripper gown. Would it be silly if I wore it to work at a gown club?

Depends what the other girls are wearing. Stripper gowns can be very expensive. If it's a light weight fabric you might be ok, if it's a beaded gown you may look a tad bit out of place. Truth be told my last club was a gown club and I wore regular dresses, as long as they were to the knee.

Yes, if it looks like a prom dress then it's probably a no-go. Other than that, it might work...

I dunno what the deal with the to the knees rule is but that's how it was at my last place and I'm really short so I like to show a little leg so I don't look like a flower girl, plus I havenice ankles and feet so I gotta show them off!

As long as you dont mind the gown getting dirty with spilled drinks and just the dirt and grime that accumulates on the furniture of clubs then you should be fine.

And if you have nice ankles definatly show them off!

I was wondering...how do you girls store your gowns (in your bags/lockers/etc) so they don't get at wrinkled? Or do you hang them?

i used to wear my prom dress in a gown club- the problem is zippers- i got stuck in mine once, so i started bying stripper gowns- and i just spray the wrinkle release crap on them or hang them in a work shower for 5 min, to dewrinkle them. btw, ebay has some cheap stripper gowns- this one is flattering

These days I like to count my money. I like to wash it delicately and iron it. Sometimes I dry it with some bounty to make it all nice and cuddly. I love my money... did I say that out loud?

maybe i'm alone here...but i absolutely hate stripper gowns. the look, the cheap material, and the fact that it unflatters my unimplanted body. uckkk.
i love evening gowns, stripper gowns just look so insanely trashy to me, but im traveling to a city where basically all the clubs are gown clubs so i guess i have to deal :/

nah, you're not alone i hate them too..most of them make me look like a sausage- i have found a couple of falterring ones over the year, but they were far and few between. oh and the were looser- the ones that are tight across the hips- eeek

As far as the "knee rule": I work at a gown club (gowns on stage most nights) and the rule is "at least 50% of fabric going past the knees". lol

So, you can wear a gown that splits or one that's only past the knees in the back... at my club anyway.
