    Default Being recognized ITC

I have always danced away from home, but with a tighter schedule and my previous club being overstaffed with dancers Im forced to work in my city. I know for sure I will run into people I know. I feel like why should I be embarrassed but you know people like to talk shit and hate. Any stories ot advice?

Are these people you might run into paying your bills? If not, then f*c 'em. Make your money and don't worry about what others think.

Handle your business and don't be embarrassed about being a responsible adult who pays their OWN way INSTEAD OF being a burden to society by sitting on their more-than-capable-ass and collecting public assistance. If someone says some shit to you tell them "I work here. What's YOUR excuse?" Then smile & take ALL their money! Make them max out their atm cards, too. Be confident and NEVER walk with your head down!

We've discussed on here incessantly how oftentimes people are just jealous of us (for our freedom, for the money we make, for the excitement of our job, etc.) so keep that in mind if anyone recognizes you and tries to make you feel badly.

Also, I don't know how it works for your club but at my old one, the housemoms would allow girls to stay in the dressing room or in a smaller, separate room in order to avoid people we were worried about seeing us. Also, if there actually was a problem with someone (they harassed us or tried to make us uncomfortable), there was even the possibility of having them kicked out. That rarely happened but it was good to know that it was an option if things got out of hand.

Like the other posters have said, just remember that you are doing something really great- you are being an independent, self-sufficient woman. You owe no one an explanation, much less a justification, for your choices.

    Hold your head high, girl!

once one of my day job boss's friends came into the club. I didn't realize it at the time but later he came to visit my boss at work and recognized me....and told my boss from where.

It turned out ok, I later ended up telling my boss on my own...and he said "yeah I already know" and proceeded to tell me the story of the friend seeing me ITC.

Ignore them in the club. If they become aggressive or rude and start fucking with your money and you can't stop them, tell the bouncer or manager they are bothering you (perverts or something) and get them kicked out.

If they are friendly, hang out with them and make some money. Sometimes these situations can be a good thing!

any time i've run into people i know, they've gushed about how amazing i look now. so really, it's more of an ego boost.

i don't really have to worry now, though, since i live 2300 miles away from my hometown.

I love when people recognize me. They are really surprised and tend to spend a lot of money on me, after they get over the initial shock.
