Angry Dealing with A hole Managers

I am really pissed right now. I went into work tonight, was on the floor for ten minutes before this new floor guy promoted to manager bc manager went out of town comes up to me and says, "You need to check in with the DJ RIGHT NOW!!!" I was like Ok, what his problem, whatever. So I checked in. I don't go up for two hours. Well, other girls start showing up to work late and going right on stage, so I was like WTF? I asked the DJ and he said the manager approved it, so now I keep getting bumped back on the list. Whatever. I finally go on stage. While I'm on the second side stage, the manager comes up and reaches over and pulls my dress to my ankles and says, "You need to have that completely off on your side stages." I was "GET YOUR EFFING HANDS OFF ME!!!!!!" Two other dancers saw me and came over and both agreed that his behavior was unacceptable. He could've just said something instead of reaching over and pulling my dress down. I told him that even though I was supposed to be full unclothed on stage, only my knees down were covered. He said he would talk to me when I got off stage, but all he did was yell at me some more! I am so mad! Any advice?

Sorry you had to go thru this, sounds like this aholes new promotion went to his head! However, he shouldnt have laid a hand on you or your dress. I would take this up with the other manager as soon as he gets back into town, maybe avoid working shifts when you know ahole will be working! I know you shouldn't have to, but sounds like ahole manager has a problem with you for whatever reason! Sorry to hear! Check out another club while ahole is in charge! XOXOXOXO

I'm having issues with one of my big headed managers too... which is why I'm either quitting my club working there like 2 days a week cause he has all the shifts

I would speak to him about it, tell him you don't appreciate the way he treated you. If he doesn't apologize tell him alright, thank you for all you've done for me, I won't be working your shifts anymore since it doesn't seem like we work very well together. And walk out the door. 90% he follows you down the hall. If he doesn't, leave the club or work different shifts. Or tell another manager, what days are you working because I only want to work your shifts, not x's shifts...

Clubs NEED girls, girls don't need clubs, there are tons of different clubs we can work at and without the girls these clubs will make no money. There is not tons of money at clubs period, and so there are not girls lined up the street to work. If girls start refusing to work his shift, he will get fired because he is costing the club money. And if he has any sense as a manager at all, he knows this. He is just trying to push your boundaries, don't let him!

IMO my job as a dancer is superior to his job. His job is to basically watch out for our best interest and protect us. Anyways, I called the other usual dance manager and he said it would never happen again. It's just that some of these guys come in off the street bc it would be "cool" to work in a strip club, they become floor guys, and then something like this happens and inflates their ego too much. He was walking around with his chest puffed out like a typical guy on a power trip just waiting for someone to provoke him. Um, you picked the wrong girl to do some crap like that to. Maybe he could get away with that with a naive new girl but not me, and now he's going to be seriously reprimanded.

Go to your GM and complain. Have any witnesses?

I would have flipped my shit. I don't care if you're my manager. You don't strip me.

If this were an office job and your manager grabbed at your clothing, you would have grounds to sue the hell out of him.

I agree with you that he was on an ego trip. And like I've said before, men either work in strip clubs "to get paid or to get laid". Obviously he's there for the wrong reasons. What a douche.

Glad the other manager said it wouldn't happen again. Now, did he actually take it seriously and do something about it, or was it just talk? Update, please.

And I'm sorry that happened to you. I would have instinctively hit him or something. I've worked in some crappy clubs, but I've NEVER had male staff try to lay a hand on me like that.

Wow. that would have set me off too. It's just uncalled for. All he had to say was that you needed to be nude, is that so hard?
I hate how they think that since we are strippers we don't care who touches us.
Wow, I'm still amazed that a manager or any employee would even think of doing that.
Please don't lick me, it tickles..

I know at the clubs I've been at in Dallas, they made me sign a piece of paper about sexual harassment...maybe your club had you sign one? If you had witnesses and had signed that, maybe you can sue him. I HOPE you can sue him, although I'm sure he's broke, lol. But that douchebag deserves it.

This was at Silver City. Anyone who has worked there knows the owner hangs out there all the time, and so does the GM, Lee. So I was assured by upper management that this incident will NEVER happen again. They had a long talk with him, so hopefully.....

That same night, he went off on another dancer about some trivial crap, and yelled at the housemom. She was almost in tears when I was leaving. He got in big time trouble for his antics.

I agree with Cyberstripper. He had no right to lay a hand on you. It certainly sounds like he's on a power trip. Hopefully you're able to find another club to work at until that asshole is demoted or fired. I find the best thing to do whenever a manager is an asshole is to go to a different club or work on the nights he's not on duty.
