There was a club a few months back advertising on Craigslist looking for dancers. When I did some research though it seemed that there had been a number of shootings at the place, which makes me sort of leary.

I just came across a posting online looking for dancers. I still don't think I'd do this, but if you want to check into it here's the info:

^^^ Just like most dancer ads, that's probably not right. I see ads across the country telling new potential dancers that they can earn $1K per week. Unless you are a top hustler and the right guys come in, that's not going to happen... or you work a minimum of 5 days a week and avg $200 per day. I've been in multiple clubs this year where even being the top hustler when only 3 guys come in all night & they are guys with barely any money... let's just say you aren't walking out with much - even if it's far more than other dancers.

There again, that's where traveling is NOT helpful. You never know which clubs are going to have too few customers, not enough money, etc. Working at one good/decent club puts you in a position to earn social capital from regulars.

Yes, I talk occasionally to someone that lives in US VI, he says that about the SC's that area, so it might be the same for UK VI

I just was on a cruiseship to Tortola(VI) in Jan. completely economically depressed there. Got off the ship walked a couple of blocks, needless to say got right back on the ship again...

Garbage everywhere. Very third world. Children panhandling everywhere...And that was considered the "touristy" area! Very scary...

^^^ Did you have a chance to go see Virgin Gorda? I'd like to go to the Seychelles (not to work), but Virgin Gorda is supposed to look similar.

WOW!! I haven't been around (posting) in a while...just reading up on some old threads(not just this thread) & LMFAO on everybody and their incorrect assumptions & tall tales! "panhandling"?? in Tortola???

Sorry, I don't believe you! Y'all that know ME, KNOW, when I say something is or isn't=truth. I've been living in the V.I. for three years now; Tortola is the RICHEST island in the Eastern Carib!

To the OP or anyone else who has an interest, DON'T listen to people who "heard from a friend", or "went on a cruise". Cruising somewhere means squat with regard to working/living somewhere. This goes for the B.V.I., U.S.V.I , Puerto Rico, D.R., Caracao, Nassau & the rest of the region.

Do some research yourself as well; look up the economies & demographics for YOURSELF. Then, you can at least make more educated assumptions, and ask succinct questions. There is MEGA money (dancing, sex-less escorting/being a "kept" woman or even "selling ass") in the Caribbean. From St. Marteen, to St. Thomas, St. John, Norman Island, Peter Island, Turks, Nassau & etc. etc.

Jay-Z ain't vacationing there for no reason!!!

Yes I was on a Cruise to Tortola and stayed for a week there, I have to say, I wasn't the least bit impressed with the Island I thought it was extremely poor and dirty (that's just MY opinion)
"Education Assumption?" now that's a complete dichotomy

I also lived in the Caribbean for a while and sailed around some of the islands.

I don't think the islands I spent time on (besides St Maarten) even had strip clubs (and they have many people living in poverty, but never saw children pan handling) but as a young white girl I was offered a lot of $$ for sex (which I refused) and had a brief sugar daddy type situation with first class flights and shopping trips etc but it's not something I am entirely comfortable with & I was really young so I didn't keep it going. It is true that there are alot of wealthy men in the Caribbean, both locals, tourists and expats. I don't know about dancing but there's definitely a market for other services, especially where there are not a lot of tourists and you're something of a commodity. It is also a lot easier to meet rich men as the islands are so damn small they have nowhere to hide lol.
Oh and they love ass. If a white girl has some junk in her trunk they will be very popular.
Anyway, this info probably belongs in 'other work'

Next time I'm the Caribbean I'm going to do some serious research into the clubs so I will report back then..

Yes, "ain't" is a "real" word; look it up. "Education Assumption"??? Nah, not a dichotomy, more like a misquote It's sooo hilarious when ppl have EXACTLY what you wrote in front of them, yet manage to twist your words. Do you work for Romney?? LMFAO! You can look "Nah" up too

hi all ive danced in bvi /tortolla or one year.at a club called deuces fairly new .there are two clubs on the island deuces and another, lapdance 25$ etc basically you buy the dance booth for 10 $ and you make as much dances as you like and charge your own rate.personally i walk out of there every week with at least 2500$ working a 5 nights shift.it was really good for me its a small island and yes you get a lot of locals but they are the ones with a lot of money from experience the ones that dress the most shabby are the ones that has a lot of money.ps no fast food places lots of restaurant bit expensive but if youre making the money to support the lifestyle then that shouldnt be a problem

the caribbean places like bahamas barbados st maarten etc are filled with tourist very expensive places .the locals are poor well some of them but because of the tourism industry to live a good lifesttyle it costs a lot of money a lot more than maintaining a basic lifestyle in europe or the states.ive live for a min of 6 mths in all the islands mentioned aboved and a lot of money passed through my hands ,i cannot complain about my earnings and its very fast to pull in money at these places.
