Default I just did the craziest thing ever

I just up and moved to New orleans from Philly PA this past weekend. I did it mainly to get away from a crazy ex who has been stalking me. I loved my job in philly at risque and i was supposed to start at Penthouse tonight. My ex actually started to wait for me out front of risque (calling the police and talking to his probation officer did no good). So I have a few jobs here I got hired at Barely Legal hustler club and Temptations. So far I really like temptations and the money seems pretty good for the summer time.
I was just wondering if any New Orleans strippers had any advice for me or clubs they liked. I haven't tried Rick's yet it looks nice from the outside. Thanks for any tips you can give me!

good luck with your new city! - My only advice is to be careful what you post online about your whereabouts if you are worried about him still stalking.

The only club I've worked at on Bourbon is Scores, and I did not have a good experience there. The money was inconsistent, the club was dead, and there were too many extras going around, and the whole staff seemed to be on coke.

I also worked at a couple Metairie clubs--good if you like low contact, clothed lap dances-- but also the money there is not great. I was averaging $150 a night. Visions in New Orleans East has a good day shift and very good, consistent money (I never left with less than $300 for an 8 hour shift) since they cater to locals, not tourists.

I haven't worked in the clubs in months because the summers tend to be dead. How's your money? I've always heard that Penthouse is a great place to work, great managemen. Same with Rick's. I hear that Barely Legal gets a lot of business. I've never checked out Temptations, though. What's it like?

I like temptations it's laid back. I don't think extras are going on at least I don't do them. I worked at Barely Legal last night. I had a good night for summer time. They also let you schedule yourself and if you show up on time you don't have to pay a house you just tip the DJ. If you work one scheduled day a week you can come in for a five hour shift another time that week with no house fee. If you schedule yourself twice a week you get 3 free days and you only have to work 3 hours. They have a pool there so I'm going to see what day shift is like next week.

I went to penthouse they didn't seem to like my look (I think I was too skinny with not enough boobs lol). I was supposed to go to Ricks and audition but I got hired at barely legal first and temptations.

What's the fall like money wise?

I worked at Ricks for a few days. Money was decent, but they don't have a pole and the stage is really high.

Penthouse has really great management and they are pretty cool about letting you leave when you want. Also, they are flexible with the house fees when you have a bad night. They do have one super dick dj, but I just avoided working his nights. The biggest problem with this club is that they have these 20 minute rooms for $100 where you get $80. The customers have figured out that they can get an hour for $75 cheaper if they buy it in 20 minute installments. They've tied my hands with these rooms, so I don't work there much anymore.

I work at Hustler mostly, which has the most money making potential in the city. They have the brand to bring people in, and they have champagne rooms ranging from $400 to $5,000 an hour. The VIP hosts try really hard to sell the rooms for you, which is something I haven't seen happen at any club here in almost ten years. They also currently have a really nice staff. I recommend over tipping the djs here, because they really appreciate it. Especially Roger. Take care of him and he will go above and beyond for you. That's the good. Here's the bad:

Hustler tends to hire sketchy assholes as managers. The GMs and upper managers are great, but when they are not around, you will be at the mercy of some real thick neck muscle flexing douchebags. If you decide to work there, I suggest that you go straight to highest level manager with even the simplest of problems or questions. If you pm me, I will tell you exactly who is cool and who will smack you down for daring to speak to them. Also, they make you work an 8 hour shift, and they will put a hold on your credit card money if it is over a certain amount.

You moved here at a good time. The money gets better and better until christmas. People say it's bad during the summer, but my worst months have always been January and February.

That is awesome! Congratulations!!! I did this once too for the same reasons, and looking back it gave me a reason to make one of the best ever changes in my life. Crystal ball predict great things in your future and I wish the best of luck to you.

That DJ at Penthouse, he's the one with a ponytail? ha ha I know who you are talking about! I don't like him either.

I heard Hustler really fcuks you over with dance dollars. If you get over a thousand in one night, they hold the difference for up to a month, then mail you a check....
