I'm actually thinking of buying this one:
My friend told me about it yesterday and said that it's WAAY better than shaving.
How has your experiences with epilators been? Are they worth buying?

Is this like an epi-lady circa 1989?

If you can't win. Make the fellow in front of you break the record.

I have the braun blue one. what a waste of money! I have really thick leg hair and it hurt like hell. Plus it broke off alot of hair instead of pulling it from the root. It caused me alot of ingrowns too.I think epilators only work for people with fine to meduim body hair. Braun is also considered one of the "better" epilators. Yea right!

They hurt like a bitch. I would rate it about 100 times more painful than waxing. Perhaps my hair is tougher than normal but I can't use them.
I do however use it when I work as a dominatrix. It causes a great deal of screaming and crying and then later the guy asks me "WTF was that horrible thing?"

Yes. It hurt like hell and left my legs covered in red bumps. Veeeery sexy..........

Classic!!!! OMG that is the best idea for a male slave website ever: Hair Removal Mistresses! Women attacking the poor guys with tweezers, epilators, hot wax! HAHAHAH!
If you are gonna epilate, soem people have nothing but good to say, but I have decided against it myself. I have read they can leave you with permenant ingrowns and scars, etc! For more info go to hairremovalforumdotcom and check otu the section about them! More horror stories and negatives then positives!
The epilator takes hair out at any angle which is a cause for alot of negatives. With waxing or sugaring you are only pulling hair in one direction. If you are condisering waxing, the wax sticks to the skin, which brings me to my favorite method of hair removal: sugaring.
Sugaring does not stick to the skin. I have done it a few times and I have no rash or irritation whatsoever after like waxing. Never an ingrown either. You can make it at home, too, the ingredients are all natural!
