    Question wigs

I have a great wig I wear at work but it's starting to not look so great. Does anyone know any good products or tips to maintain wigs. Also I was wondering about any websites that actually sell long sexy wigs. I have come across a lot of granny style ones (no offense to the grannies).

Any wig info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have never worn wigs so I can't say how well it works but there's a Raquel Welch "wig shampoo" on the market.

Is it a full wig or half wig (fall)? Is it human hair or synthetic? They sell shine products and shampoos at Sally's Beauty Supply. Also, you need a loop brush to brush it.

The wigs I've used have a rather short shelf life before they start looking ratty. You can try to gently wash them with mild shampoo and cold water, and then to let them dry and use a shine product. You can also cut out the matted bits before they spread to the whole wig. But after a certain point, if you have a synthetic wig, nothing is going to fix it. They just wear out.

I get my wigs at the wig store--the ones geared towards African American women have better prices and selections. But if you don't have similar stores where you live, there's a lot of affordable stuff on ebay. I don't usually pay more than $40 per wig, just because they don't last that long.

I've also heard of washing them with woolite.

It is a full synthetic wig. Hopefully, I will be able to get human hair next time.

I used to wear wigs all of the time and they all have a shelf life, aside from the proper cleansers, if you cant part with it just yet, Give your wig a trim to get off all of the damage just like a haircut. The wig will last a little bit longer.
