    Default Dysport

I had this injected into my face today. All over my forehead, under my brow bone, and a two units under my eyes. They say it's the next generation botox. I have a head ache

It hasn't kicked in yet, and I'm getting nervous, because they say it kicks in faster than Botox. Also, I put Juvederm in my top lip, but got nervous and only used .4 cc's, instead of the full normal .8 cc dosage. She's holding the left over for me so that I can add it after the swelling goes down if I want. I'm nervous, someone help!

How are your results? Does dysport last longer than botox? Is it cheaper?

Yes, its supposed to last twice as long and is cheaper, but only by ten dollars a unit. It's the European Botox...

I hope the procedure goes well for you JD.

    On a side note:

I have always liked women with wrinkles but I guess there are not that many men who like women with wrinkles. In my opinion wrinkles accentuate the beauty.

Dysport is Medicis' version of Botox. Been in Europe for 18 years, now in US. Lasts for 4 months. No major price benefit to docs...so I don't see it being that much cheaper.

It's only ten dollar per unit (or area?) cheaper, so not that much...

It's all kicked in and working now

Hey gal! Long time no chat....the new smile looks amaz btw!

So I just wanted to hear all your thoughts and opinions on Dysport. I know you've used it before and I just had it injected earlier this evening. 1/4 syringe (25 units) to forehead and one jab at the corner of each brow for crows/lift tail of brow.

I'm a little nervous bec of the mixed reviews and the only REAL dif I've heard between that and botox (which I've had several times) is it tends to migrate a bit.

    Appreciate your thoughts lvoely

Hey girl! I deactivated my Facebook, I'll be back soon though.....

I never did get Dysport again because I felt like it faded away way too fast. I feel like Botox is stronger and faster to kick in, and lasts much longer. Everybody's chemistry is different though, I had Juvederm Ultra Plus put into my lips a year and a half ago, and it still looks like it did a week after I had them done!

Are you sure she only put 25 units of Dysport? They have to use about 2 1/2 times as much Dysport to equal Botox.... I would double check that. I love that corner brow lift spot to inject by the way! It gives a really nice lifted look to your whole upper face.

I deactivated mine as well (also will be back eventually though

Yes I am sure, she showed me after the injections. I didn't know about Dysport being 1/3 the strength but that's good because where I get injected I'm SO easily over done and end up with frozen brow and or/droopy lids. I've had some great brow lifts with Botox and some awful ones. I am glad it's less potent. I'm much happier with having less result than being over done.

Glad to hear you had no negative reactions though...

I also had 1/2 syringe of Restylane (normally get Juv) in my lips but because I still had a lot of Juvederm left and naturally big lips, this was ideal so they didn't blow up like Daffy. LOL
