Thumbs up Wearing corset to an audition??

With me being a thicker girl, I want to invest in a corset to wear for my upcoming auditions. I think it will present me & make a better first impression.

Have any of you done that? I'm worried about trying to get it off during the stage dance part of my audition, & I will be nervous enough without it on.

Also, I've heard that as soon as a manager sees you, he already knows if he want to hire you.....so I'd love to walk in to meet him with my corset on, but what would I wear with it? Jeans & Heels?

My previous auditions, I walked in wearing a tank top, small short, & wedge flip flops. Hair/Makeup all done though.

So now I'm definately thinking corset will get me somewhere or at least catch the managers eye so he will let me audition.

    Any thoughts?? Thanks!
    XoXo

Corsets can be really tricky to take off...Maybe a waist cincher, or try to find one that zipper or snaps closed. Hooks and eyes are a pain in the fucking asst to open and the lace-up are a whole nother issue.

If you where it just for the initial meeting and interview I don't see any problems, but try something else of the stage audition.

I would where it with either boot or skinny cut jeans and heels stilettos or some over the pant boots. or maybe a sexy pencil skirt. And wear your hair up, in a loose bun the you can easily let down to swing around on stage.

Well, there is a corset that caught my eye & it's a lace up front with the hook thingys down the back. Purple sheen w/black lace trim, super sexy & I thought it'd be a nice first impression to meet a manager.

But I bet it is going to be a pain in the ass to get off. I don't know much about waist cinchers but I'm going to start looking online for a decent priced one (& hot of course). The corset I found is only $25, so I thought that was a pretty good price for that.

Sunnie, thanks for advice, I prob will find something else to do the actual audition in. I had been wearing just a regular bikini to audition, since it was something you can untie & bada bing it's off. Guess I'll stick to that.

    Thanks

I've never worn them because I'm too scared to have to take them off onstage or in LDs, but my friend wears them and she just gets a zipper sewn in the side discreetly and laces them up the back but uses the zipper to get in and out of them discreetly. I think they can look really good but they're expensive...

I once knew a girl who would wear corsets on stage and wouldnt take the stomach part off. She was a bit heavier and it worked out fine for her.

Def don't do it unless its a zipper front... I've got a few corsets and would never attempt them at work...why too hard to get off.

Ok, I really like that waist cincher on that link. Now I have an idea of what you were talking about & what I should be looking for.

My question is....IF i wear that on stage, are managers cool with me leaving it on? Like I'd take the top off, and that be it. Don't they want everything off?

By my experience I was always asked to get down to a g string at least, the managers wanted to make sure there was no scaring or weird or offensive tattoos. After that I was able to wear as much or as little as I wanted (as little depending on laws and regulations an as much as long as the chi chi's where out.)

Yeah, it depends on where you go but you could do a cincher or bustier with no cups, that is always hot. I used to do a french maid act with one of those. Guys love it, because you're still a bit covered up and then.. bada bing, there are the twins.

ALWAYS strip in the ones with front zippers! They make it sooo much easier and it looks better than just pulling your boobs out the top! LOL!

So I bought the previously mentioned corset. I got it home & put it on......There is NO WAY in hell i could wear it to an audition, I can barely get it unlooped now.

It turned into a bedroom extra for my husband to enjoy.

I went to 3 stores & only found one zipper front corset & it was sooo tiny, I couldnt fit into it.
    But I'm gonna keep looking......

I have one on that I used to use dancing.. U should be able to find them at a normal porn store .. U can come to where I live too (I know u know where that is).. place here has some.. I can pm it to u if u want.. I also have a purple one.. they aren't too expensive.. about 25-50 I'd say.. and I can pull these straps down like in the second pic.. if I dont feel like taking it all off (easier to do this on stage).. since the boning isn't real... my purple one without straps I just pull down to show my boobs.. dont even have to unzip at all

Maybe a knee length skirt with a suit jacket over it. You know how it was the big craze to wear slutty lacy tops under suits for awhile. I just go in ready to work in a mini dress with jeans over the g string and my shoes and stuff in a bag.

ohiogirl, if you REALLY want a corset, I can attest that Guenevere makes AWESOME custom ones! She made the SuperStripper Costume that I wore all last week at the Gentlemen's Club Expo.

Being almost 6 foot, it's tough to find off the rack corsets that are long enough. I have really weird measurements, and it fit like a glove. In the past, I've had to turn some of the Fredericks ones' that I bought for work into personal bedroom ones too! Of course, its still a tax write off!

I have an outfit I wear all the time that consists of a waist cincher and a semi-matching bra. The bra hooks in the front so it looks like part of the corset and then I just pop it off! It's easier than taking off a corset, and I really liked it when I was new and hadnt slimmed down yet. Customers don't seem to care if I leave the cincher on. Sometimes they ask me to take it off during a dance but they have to pay extra for that

Thanks girls for all your input.....

This is the corset I orignally was talking about, & have bought it since then.

I love it for "around the house play", but you guys were definately right about how hard it is to get it off! So I won't be wearing this one to any clubs.

I'm definately investing in a zipper one, & that'll be for the clubs.

Well for $25, I couldn't pass this one up though, I'm a sucker for a good deal

If you really like the outfit, it might be worth it to take it to a seamstress and have a zipper put it.

Vollers makes great corsets.. I have several corsets and waist cinchers of theirs. They make great underbust corsets that are qualitly and wont fall apart or tear like cheap ones. You can get them here in the states from and other places. They arent cheap though. I wear them in some of my shows with a little school girl outfit and all. with the underbust there really isnt any reason to have to take it off. Most guys I have found like it...

I personally hate wearing corsets because they annoy the hell out of me onstage. Don't get me wrong--for photoshoots, asthetics, burlesque, ect, corsets are AWESOME! But when I'm trying to climb a pole and spin around it upside-down, er, not so much. I just move around too much onstage to wear a corset AND I end up not able to breathe, with my skin being pinched, and then getting angry and fumbling for hours to take the damn thing off!!! NOT FUN!

BUT--I do know girls who pull off a corset on stage really well. Most of them have very nice, very well made corsets, and I think this is really important. A corset is one of those items that MUST fit like a glove otherwise it just looks TERRIBLE. Makes you have rolls, bunches your skin up weird, ect. Plus, well made corsets are just more comfortable to wear AND if you are going to wear it for a 7 hour shift, it better feel comfortable!

Most of the girls who wear REAL corsets onstage (not bustiers) don't even bother to take them off. They usually (from what I've seen) get ones that fall below the bust, and then they wear a bikini top over their boobs. That way, it's super easy to get the top off AND your boobs look fucking awesome because of the way the corset makes your ribs smaller and it gives the illusion of bigger, perkier tits. Most of these girls also don't take the corset off for dances--again, too much work and there is really no need. Men aren't paying to see SKIN, they are paying to see tits and ass and as long as the corset covers neither of those two things up, no man is going to complain.
