My friend Angela lives in California, well now in Dallas. She got her liner, top and bottom and a pretty color pink or rose lip liner in Palm Springs. She's had her's for years and it still looks very good. I love it because when you wake up, you look all ready to go without putting on makeup. I'm going to get my liner and lips done here in Sugarland or Houston at this doctor I found that specializes in permanent makeup. Don't go to a tatoo parlor or one of those asians or nail spa. Do your homework on doc's in your area that specialize in permanent makeup. Your results will be beautiful. The people that have horrible results are the ones that go to the places I said not to go to. But if you stick with a dr, you'll be fine. They'll make it suttle and beautiful. Good luck and let me know how it turns out.

do you have the name of the doctor in Houston? I'd like to research and pick the absolutely best. Does your doctor use the SofTap technique? I hear it give the most natural look.

i'd be too afraid to try it. I've always seen older women with it and as they age it travels downward with the rest of their face.

Its not THAT permanent, you have to get it ''touched up'' yearly..but it will fade with time if you dont bother to have it re-done so i wouldnt worry about still having it when youre old. Ive had my eyebrows done and I loove them but like already said make sure you go to someone who knows what theyre doing.

Depends where you go.I live in England so it would be alot different. I had it done then one touch up included in the original price and I went back the next year to have a touch up..it was cheaper than the original price.

I'll get the info for you and give it to you. This one doctor in sugarland seems to be pretty good. I'm thinking about probably getting my top lids done this month. I'll let you know how it goes and I'll give you the two dr. I know of here.

It just depends on where you go and how dark they actually do them. Like I said one of my friends has had hers over 4 yrs and she's only touched them up once and they really didn't need touching up she just wanted a thicker line on her upper lids so she got everything redone, but hers looks really good and it's well over 5 yrs now.

I'm thinking of getting my waterlines done, top and bottom. I think my greatest concern is how safe it would be.

    What do you guys think?

If you work in an office, you wear dress shoes and a suit.
If you work in a restaraunt, you wear skid resistant shoes and a uniform.
If you work in a strip club, you wear 7" stilettos and lycra g-strings.

Permanent makeup is safe, it's been around for generations. It's not a new thing, alot of cultures use it and have used it for thousands of years. You just need to find a doctor that specializes in cosmetic or permanent makeup. Just don't go to salons, spas, or tattoo parlors to get it done, that's where most of the mess ups occur. You need to go see a dr. Find a really good one in your area or do research on one in another state or city. There's alot of good ones out there.

I got eyeliner and eyebrows done, and it looks verrrry beautiful and never have to draw it in again. I have hair on my eyebrows though but it was not thick enough hair for me. I love the results of my permanent makeup and would recommend it to anyone.

I defently cant wait to get it done! ughhh Im soo dien to do it!! I think about it every day when my makeup starts to sweat off in the creases of my eyes. I wish they could do eyeshadow to, they might beable to soon who know =)

I got mine done at a tatoo parlor by a licensed permanent makeup artist and it came out perfectly. Minimal pain.

Well, the reason I'm concerned about it is because it is the mucosal part of my eyelids. I've seen some places that can do it, so I know you can, but I'm not sure if it would be any more dangerous or uncomfortable than outer, rim liner.

Do they give you anything to numb it, or no?

Im not sure If they will do the inner side of your eyelid?? but they do inner lip?? so I dont know.. I doubt they do that.. but you can always get them to poke you with the gun with out ink in it to see if you can take it.. I dont think it will be that bad, and If you think it will and your nervous just try finding an anxiety or pain pill lol.. but dont get fucked up. you might move and fuck up your face haah that would suckkkk

Hey, I see a little mis information in this thread. I read alot and decided not to do it for abit, mostly after reading on this forum someone a girl knew looked like a clown. Finally I said screw it and went it, yesterday, got my eyebrows, eyeliner, and lipliner done. NO YOU DONT NEED A DOCTOR and I probably WOULDNT choose a doctor. It definitely does not need to be a dr to do the procedure, but you want someone that is well trained, professional, clean practice, and a portfolio of work that you love. Permanent makeup is an art more than anything and a doctor is more uhm.. technical sort of, where as someone who went to art school has more of an eye for beauty and what fits your face etc and will do muhc more beautiful results, in my opinion. (that saying that is the case 100% of the time. Yes they do use numbing cream, the firs time they go over is the most sensitive, then once the skin is somewhat open they reaply the numbing cream and after that hurts less. Lips are most sensitive. Make sure you look at pictures she has done do see if she does work that fits her patients faces. I love what I got done but I look a little clownish right now aorund the lips as is 110% supposed to, the colour is done very dark then lightens to a very very natural hue within a week. hope this helps a little pm me for info!

Girl I work with had it done a few years ago and goes for regular touch-ups yearly. It. Looks. Horrible.

Too dark (yes there's been time for it to fade), she always looks the same with little flexibility in her look and because she's working in the industry she still cakes on make-up on top of it. Her look has single-handedly turned me off the idea. Her plan was to wake up every day looking like she's done her makeup and now she takes even longer.

Apparently her mom had it done too - blue waterline. Make-up is something that's not timeless: styles change! Hers dragged down and creased as she got older.

You only get one face and its the most visible part of you - that's a huge risk to take to cut down minimally on make-up time.

I LOVE my permanent makeup-I have brows, eyeliner on top and bottom, and lips. I have had it for seven years and have touched up the brows once, the eyeliner twice because I wanted to go bolder. I can highly recommend it-mine looks really natural and not too dark at all.
