Default Looking for a competent hairdresser in LV

OK, I just got fucking mangled and I am really pissed right now. My hairdresser moved away and I had to go to someone else and they full on butchered me.

I thought my haircut was pretty simple. I have full straight bangs that end midway through my eyebrows. The rest of my hair is just straight, no layers, all she had to do was trim the ends and trim the bangs.

My bangs now end halfway up my goddamn forehead and I look like Jim Carey a la Dumb and Dumber.

I can't cut my own bangs because I will butcher myself and I recognize that fact. I just need a hairdresser who is slightly more skilled than a goddamn chimpanzee with scissors. I'd rather not pay an arm and leg for something so simple.

The bangs are not even straight. How the hell do these people get licensed?

I saw a really cool salon on t.v. that was featured in Las Vegas, it is called Curl Up and Dye. It seemed like it would be relatively inexpensive, and they do all the really crazy cool stuff there. I don't know, check it out!

It's not very hard to get licensed, sadly.
I've never understood inability to get bangs straight... that's always been one of the easiest things to do imo.

Hey, I pm'ed you my hair guy's information. He really is fantastic and fixes a lot of other stylists' mistakes. If you don't live in Henderson he's worth the drive. Good luck!

I know, it seemed so cool! They were professional and all very experienced, but they could do the crazy off the wall stuff too!

Thanks everybody for the info and the PMs. I've got to wait for the bangs to grow back out a bit before I can really do anything.

The Curl up and Dye place looks interesting. They have someone who specializes in the rockabilly look and vintage updos. I've been wanting to take some pinup style pics.
