Default Problems for Tokyo clubs and dancers again?

I recently sent a friend who is going to be visiting Tokyo next month some suggestions for SCs to visit in Roppongi. In the process I noticed that the Tantra web site was down (and stayed down for several days) plus a couple of others. When I tried calling Tantra, the phone rang endlessly with no answer...and emails to a couple of my fave dancers bounced back with "no such user" messages. Etc.

Four or five year ago there was a crackdown on Tokyo clubs by the police, and a bunch of foreign dancers (including some I knew and a then SW regular) were deported. I hope nothing like that is happening again!

Anyone heard any definite news from over there?

Seems the new Tantra in Macau is hiring.

This thread, if it is of any value at all, would probably be more suitable for the "Club Chat" forum imo, but if I understand the current rules correctly, I am not allowed to post there. If a mod or anyone who is entitled to post in CC would like to repeat the inquiry there, that would be terrific.

If there is another rash of immigration (or other) busts going on in the Tokyo SC world, it might be of important practical interest to a few SC dancer-members.

Seventh Heaven is still open, according to some of my Tokyo friends, but may be operating on reduced hours. It could also just be the bad economy in Japan...not an LE problem at all.

Well, the Tantra Tokyo web site is back up and they are answering the phone again, so all appears to be well. However, the site now includes this passage (underlining added):

    CONCEPT

The bewitching environment of this mature establishment tucked away from chaos of Roppongi central aims to please and provide calm, hassle free haven for discerning customers.

The aim is to divulge the clientele with a "temple of pleasure" where service is high class and individual.

The interior of Tantra is influenced by trips to Tibet, Nepal and India, and the Japanese and Foreign dancers are both beautiful and exotic. Easter eroticism is said to heighten the awareness and establishment of any quest that enters.

Top, fine Italian cuisine, including full diner course are also available for those who are looking to have dinner with one of Tantra's beautiful entertainers. Frequented by movie, media and sports star alike, regular visitors attest that Tantra is one of the best place in Japan to head when you need to be treated like an VIP
    (http://tantra-mensclub.com/en/concept)

which makes me think that it might not be the ideal choice for the Jewish guys among us, and any of us might worry about being divulged. You'd also think that they could provide better than diner food for the prices that place charges!

Maybe "Easter eroticism" means they use heavy S&M (lashings, bondage, thorny crowns etc) as foreplay to get a guy to "rise again"?

Slightly more seriously, I guess the lack of responses by others to this thread means that the SW community no longer contains many dancers who dance in Japan or are interested in the possibility? There used to be quite a few. Oh well...

I'd love to go see Japan and even see the clubs... but from what I've heard I wouldn't want to dance there unless I'd seen it first hand and everything I'd heard was wrong.

These days the 'money' can be found in Macau. It's rapidly becoming the 'Vegas' of southeast Asia.
