First, the good news *knock on wood* is that it's been picking up a little at work the last week. I'm hoping like hell that this is a trend... since it's been so shitty for so long.
Now the "other" news. In the last month here's what's been going on with me:
-Shelled out 1500 for dental work (need 600 more) but, this is also a "good thing" since I'd been putting it off and it needed to be done eventually.
-Had a raccoon tear my roof apart, creating a raccoon-sized-hole, which she then climbed through in an attempt to have babies in my attic. Hole was patched, but we discovered in the process, that the entire roof needs replacing.
-Got 220 dollar speeding ticket trying to make it from class to work last week. My fault, I realize, but sucks still. I had such a good record.
-My boyfriend's company announced it's closing it's American branch last week. So, as of Tuesday he's been jobless. We've been together 6 years and living together 5.. so this obvious involves me.
-Woke up this morning to find our entire hallway flooded, 3 foot bulge of hanging ceiling, water dripping down the walls, etc. Later discovered that the AC pan flooded because there was never a float switch or drain installed. Ac guy came out and removed a giant nasty ball of mold/algea from the unit.. which has me super paranoid about what I've been breathing in for the last couple years. I've had a lot of sinus problems, so now I'm all fretting about it.
The ceiling and roof stuff will eventually be fixed, but till then we have to live with a sagging roof. We rent, so we won't have to pay for it... but it's not fun. Boyfriend is looking for jobs, but we all know how the market is right now.
It could be worse *knocks on wood* I have a lot to be thankful for. I just think it's almost funny at this point how things have been lately. I mean, raccoons, really? wtf?
