    Question whitestrips-sensitve teeth

I used those Crest ones awhile back, & damn, they hurt!
Anyone know of any for sensitive teeth, that actually work, & arent' too expensive? Thanks!

The new Crest White strips Advanced Seal don't hurt NEAR as much!

use rembrandt toothpaste. it's amazing. also, baking soda on a damp toothbrush works too.

it might not work as quickly as a whitening strip, but it's much more gentle on the enamel.

You could try the aquafresh white trays. They're made specifically for sensitive teeth. Those are the ones I use now, and my teeth were still sore, but not as bad as when I used to use the crest whitestrips. The aquafresh ones also come with a sensitive toothpaste. You could try them, they did work on whitening my teeth and were gentler (sp?).

You need to build up your tolerance to the active ingredient in the strips...example if the box says 5 minutes, wear them for like 2, and then as you progressively wear them more increase the time. A LOT of ppl are sensitive to teeth whitening, especially if you have sensitive teeth in general. I would use ACT mouthwash or Sensodyne toothpaste in conjunction with the strips as these products have things in them to help with sensitivity. I use to work in a dentist office and a lot of patients ran into this problem either with using the strips or the trays.

I don't know how much is too much $, but I just had my teeth whitened at The Tan Company. It cost me $100 (its supposed to last for 2 years), came with a touch up kit, and I was 3.5 shades whiter in a matter of 20 minutes. No sensitivity whatsoever (I was sensitive to all the strips and gels I could find). I don't know if its a local thing or if its in all the Tan Co's, but its worth a shot.
