Default Coastguard fires on a suspicious vessel in DC

A boat on the Potomac has been fired on by the Coast Guard. It's avoiding them and trying to evade and get past the CG boats. So freakin scarey on 9/11.

Link when I find it. It's live on CNN but I don't see it online yet.

    Link. http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/09/11/pot...oat/index.html

It said on CNN that witness said 10 rounds were fired at the boat, but the CG denies it and says it could be a possible training exercise...WTF? Stupid.

Anyway, I can't hear CNN very well, a certain dipshit is sitting his fatass right in my LR and talking on his phone at the top of his lungs. Refuses to go in the damn office or any of the 3 sitting rooms for this call and when he talks he blathers on for fucking hours! ARRGGG!!

Fortunately it was not a real threat. I found this on WashingtonPost.com:

"D.C. police say a Coast Guard vessel that appeared to fire live shots at a recreational boat on the Potomac River Friday morning was nothing more than a training exercise and posed no public threat.

Video footage of the incident sparked widespread media coverage and speculated as to whether the allegedly "suspicious vessel" could be linked to commemorations of the eighth anniversary opf the Sept. 11. 2001 attacks, including a wreath-laying by President Obama at the Pentagon memorial that happened around the same time as the incident.

D.C. police spokeswoman Traci Hughes said the incident near the Memorial Bridge was a training exercise. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security said they could not confirm any information about the incident."

^^Cool! It was a bit scary to watch. Then said dipshit started droning on drowning out absolutely every ounce of sound. So damn retarded to do a training exercise on 9/11 though!!

CNN has a history of scaring people unecessarily to boost ratings. The police were informed about the training exercise and no one was obligated to tell CNN about it. I'm sure they heard a rumor and ran hours of television broadcasting over it.

(Yes, I have an axe to grind when it comes to CNN. They endanger lives to boost ratings. Scaring people is tame compared to the erroneous information I have seen them broadcast which resulted in over 20 deaths. No one seems to hold them accountable for the way people react to their KNOWN misinformation.)

ok, so the coast guard prolly should have notified fellow agencies so that people didn't flip out. however, they can't help the fact that CNN was listening in on the radio frequencies.... um, really man? someone says BANG BANG and you start flipping out? chillax, yo!

did you guys see that press conference? the CG guy looked like he wanted to stab someone in the eye.... gaaaaaaah. he made me giggle with all his clearly exasperated looks.

see what happens when you eavesdrop on radio frequencies?

lets face it, drama brings ratings.

It was on drudge report earlier today.

I've watched too many movies to believe it was a training exercise. I'm sure they are covering something up.
    Yes, I'm real.
