so last time I was surfing the web for an expense list for escorts, instead I came across and expense list for strippers. which seem to be related to anyone in sex trade.

A part of all you earn is yours to keep. It should be not less than a tenth no matter how little you earn. It can be as much more as you can afford. - Richest Man in Babylon

BTW from a 1/3 to 1/2 of the things listed as deductions if you are ever audited will be rejected as items that don't pass the "housewife test"
Normal everyday women have cells phones, often more than one, have gym memberships get their nails and hair done, tan, get extensions on an on, say they "need it for their jobs. be it selling realestate, cars or perfume at Macy's
the IRS does NOT have a provision where if the expense is a certain amount higher than "normal" all the sudden it is deductible.

Minnie, you are so beautiful!
Had to say that.
As far as US business tax deductions go, the rule is any business expense that is ordinary and necessary is deductible. Of course housewives have cell phones. But, that does not remove their deductibility. The question is: does the expense make you money, or make it possible for you to make money? If the answer is yes, then it's probably deductible. Conversely, is it the kind of expense that everyone has and does not really make any money. For example, everyone has to get to work, so commuting is not deductible. However, for a travelling dancer, going out of town to work for a week is not commuting. Thus, the mileage or air fare is deductible. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are usually not deductible. Everyone has to eat. But, taking an agent to lunch and discussing a contract makes the lunch a deductible expense.
