    Default My roommate is curious

    I think my roommate is catching a bit of the stripper bug from me. Last weekend I made about 700 in two nights and she was so jealous and has been asking me what all goes on. She came with me when I did a couple of amatuer contests before I started dancing but she chickened out both times. I think she would be perfect for her to. She does not have a job really, has some kind of scholarship for school and lives off her parents mostly. What does everyone think, I might try to get her to do another amatuer contest with me outside of my club.

    Tell her to give it a shot! She may end up loving it!

    I also seem to be a big stripper bug spreader. I don't mean to sound like the biggest stripper advocator in the world, but after meeting me I've made 3 girls think about becoming strippers...I think its just obvious I really like my job when I talk about it.

    Why'd she chicken out though? Maybe she only really likes the money aspect of the job, in which case it might make her miserable

    Stripping is just so mainstream these days. I think all girls 18+ are curious.

    I agree with Britney. I think you can bring her but be careful. If she has chickened out, she may not be right for the job, There's a lot more to stripping than getting naked on stage. I would hate for you to have it babysit her all night and hold her hand. Maybe bring her on a slow night and see if she likes the actual hustling/ talking to guys part of it.;

    I don't think I will take her to my club, or at least right away. There are a few other smaller ones around that do amatuer contests that I am going to encourage her to do. Also I am starting to get more and more main stage time at my club. I want to have fun with it and make my own routines. Some girls go out and basically just dance around with out an idea. I want to put on more of a show, going to get a few costumes and outfits. I may try and bring my roommate into the planning and get her interested more that way to. She has some dance experience too from when she was in high school. I think that would be a sly way of getting her to dance.

    I am so excited, over the past few weeks I have been trying to get my roommate more interested in stripping. Even got her to do a full dance routine with me in our apartment while I was practicing. This morning she kept asking me how my night was and all I did. I was rather shocked when she brought up the idea of doing an amatuer contest and if I had any idea's. I know of one that is going on later in week and she wants to do it. I can't wait to see if she will follow through with it.

    I've also encouraged a couple girls to give it a go. If she is curious you should help her. But definitely be careful about working together and living together. I've done this in the past and it becomes a headache quickly. Good luck to her!

    ^^^I agree with being careful about working together AND living together (if you're going to be working at the same club).

    ^^ Ditto. Working in the same club with your roomie might seem like a good idea at first, but think of all the problems it could potentially cause. If she starts working with you and becomes jealous of the money that you're raking in, she could start spreading rumours around you to friends in your real life, and it would be really hard to live with her under those circumstances.

    Also, it could happen the other way around. What if she starts making more money than you on a consistent basis? How would you feel? Would you be happy for her, or resentful.

    Those are just some things to think about.

    Best case scenario: you guys could both hustle guys together and make tons of money.

    I see your point, although the club I work at about an hour away. I picked that one mostly because I have a regular day job and did not want anyone I know come in and see me. Plus I only work on Friday and Saturdays, she would want something closer and would work more often I suppose. We are planning on going to an amatuer contest at a nearby club that she likes on Thursday. Not sure if I am going to do it, I hated the girls that came in from other clubs and did it at my amatuer contests I have been in. But if it gets her to do it I may.

    Don't push her too hard. It could actually interfere with her school or her parents may not give her money any more!

    It may be kismet that she hasn't started already. She has a stripper room mate, been to a couple of contests, is curious and still hasn't taken the plunge.

    Just tell her "When you're ready just let me know." and totally support her.

    I'll never forget when I first started dancing my girlfriend from high school was the wild one and I was more demure. I said "Hey I'm going to be working at this club, you should come with." She totally wasn't interested and I thought it would be right up her alley. So wrong.
