    Default Giant Spider Bite

Hey everyone. I just wanted to know what you would do if you had a giant spider bite on the side of your stomach? I have one and it has lasted over a week now. It's bright red, HUGE, and extremely noticeable. How would you hide it?

I've but bug bite stuff on it (to stop the pain, itching, and hopefully make it go the hell away!), but it's still there. It doesn't itch too bad, but it looks hideous.
What would you do in this situation? Take a whole week off work? Put cover-up on it, causing possible irritation? Just deal with it and hope that customers don't see the gigantic red bump on your side?

    Thanks!

^^What she said! Unless you saw the spider in action, don't assume that is the problem.

If it is a bite, have you tried benadryl? That works pretty well for most people.

First thing that came to my mind was a staph infection, too. A girl at my old job got one and it looked a lot like a spider bite but got really bad!

Try some tea tree oil, or Campho-Phenique they're both good for skin probs.

Go to the Dr that doesn't sound like anything to mess with. Even if in fact it IS a spider bite, you don't know what sort of spider it was. It could be a brown recluse. Their bites often present as large, hot red spots the first few days.

In the case of either diagnosis, it needs to be looked at.

You should have a doctor take a look at it.

See a doctor. If it is staph or marsa it is extremely contagious. If you are working with it you are exposing everyone you work with as well as customers to infection.
If in fact it is a spider bite comfrey will help tremendously. However, only a doctor will know for sure.

I think that's bed bugs, not spiders.
