Default So I won a pole in a raffle last night...

and now I'm not quite sure what to do with it!
I live in a rental so I'm kinda hesitant to put a hole in the ceiling to install it. I guess I could spackle the hole when we move. Has anyone been in this situation before? Also, the house is carpet. So we'll see how that goes.
I called the company (Passion Parties) but I've just gotten voicemail. Any advice would be much appreciated!

I guess it depends on which pole, specifcially that you won... They all install differently... and may not require a big-ass hole in your ceiling.

It's just a screw. So not big. I just want my deposit back.
However, this house definitely has the best landlord I've ever encountered.

A screw hole should be EASY to cover when the time comes to move. I wouldn't worry about that at all.

Ask the landlord to install it.

I'd personally sell that pole and put the $$ toward a real pole: the XPOLE. XPOLES use suction and you don't have to put holes in the ceiling or floor AT ALL!

Poles like this cannot handle all the force that you will put on the pole if you want to do good tricks. I have heard of poles that use screws are known to rip out of place and leave BIGGER holes in drywall. Be careful with it!

If it's not screwed into something very solid and very well, it'll just rip right out when any serious force is encountered. Then you could have not only a hole in the ceiling but an injury.

Of the two connections, floor and ceiling, the ceiling is the really important one. Good luck!

Is it the Lil Mynx ? I wouldn't worry about it if so. I used to live in a family members property, had a handyman install the mynx and I didn't even cover the hole. No one notices the hole.

It's not a lil Mynx. The brand is "Passion Parties". In the instructions it just says figure out where a wood beam is and screw into that. And it comes with a really long screw especially for drywall and wood.
I really want a Xpole!!! They look amazing. If I ever become good enough to qualify as doing "good tricks" then I'm totally getting an Xpole. For now, I have a free pole, and I can at least look at myself in the mirror and see what looks sexy.
