Hey everyone!
I've had an eating disorder for 10 years and have been primarily bulimic for the last 5 (I'm in recovery now! 7 months purge-free, woohoo!), and over the years, my bad habits have caused me costly dental problems, massive hair loss, low iron levels, as well as many other health issues.
Right now, I'm trying to work on getting my teeth fixed (so expensive!) so that I can take better care of myself. But I'm primarily concerned with my hair at the moment. I used to have thick, naturally curly, beautiful hair, and now my hair is so thin and brittle, it breaks and splits no matter what I do. Ponytails make chunks of it fall out. Certain conditioners make it dry and break off at the ends.
My question is: how do you repair your hair?
If I could just get it back to the state it was once in, I know I could take better care of it. I don't ever use shampoo anymore, just conditioner. I don't straighten it like I used to anymore. I use hardly any product on it. But none of this seems to help.
So if you could help me out by giving me a few "repair your hair" tips, that would be so greatly appreciated. Not only does having bad hair effect how I look, but it also effects my self-esteem. I just miss having gorgeous locks :-(
Thanks!
-Alisha-
